I really wanted to write something for my current obsession, -Man and the idea came to me when I looked at my own pair of (homemade) rainbow hair sticks (all you need is a pair of disposable chopsticks and some bright nail polish). Anyway, I hope you all enjoy!!!!

I am honored to finally make my mark on this fandom, and this pairing.

Warning: Light LaviYuu.

Disclaimer: -Man? Nope. A pair of rainbow hair sticks? You bet.

Lavi was on a mission.

No, not one of the many missions assigned to him by the order. He was on a mission of his own device. And that mission was simple. Locate Kanda Yuu.

His targe- friend wasn't in the training room, the cafeteria, the labs, the baths, his room, or any of the other places Lavi checked. There was only one place left.

The library.

-

"Target in sight." Lavi muttered to himself, a big grin on his face. He was crouched down as he inched closer to the Japanese teen, being as quiet as possible before he made his move, just like his namesake, the lion, before a kill.

"Yuu-chan~!" Lavi pounced, glomping Kanda.

"Lavi! What the-" Kanda started to protest, but was cut off by Lavi.

"Ooh! Yuu-chan, your hair looks so pretty today." Lavi cooed, his arms still around Kanda's neck.

"Shut up." Kanda retorted, his hand flying up to touch his hair, which was in a bun held in place by a pair of chopsticks from the cafeteria. Lavi swear he saw the slightest hint of a blush on his fellow exorcists face.

And then, he had an idea.

-

"Yuu-chan! I'm home!!" Lavi called as he burst into Kanda's room, having just returned from his most recent mission.

"What do you want?" Kanda growled, glaring at Lavi, who had a fake offended/hurt look.

"No need to be so rude, Yuu-chan" (Don't call me that!) ,"I have a present for you after all."

The look Kanda gave him was priceless, suspicion plastered all over it his face.

"What brought this about?" Kanda asked, still very suspicious.

"Well, you know when I found you the other day in the library? And you had your hair in a bun?" Lavi asked.

"Your point?"

"Well, I noticed that you were using chopsticks from the cafeteria to hold it in place. So I decided to get you these." Lavi held a box out to Kanda. It was a simple box, black with a little gold insignia in the corner, very long and thin. Almost like a necklace box, but not quite.

"What is this?" Kanda too the box hesitantly.

"You just have to open it to see!" Lavi grinned and Kanda gave in. He took the top off the box and looked in.

"Lavi, what the heck!" He growled, for lo and behold, inside the box was a pair of rainbow hair sticks.

"I thought they would look good on Yuu!" Lavi said and before Kanda could do anything, the red head had snatched the accessories from his grasp and was winding his hair into a bun, securing it with the hair sticks. "See, they look great!"

Kanda was frozen in horror at the idea of rainbow-anything touching his person. He reached up to take them out, but Lavi stopped him by hugging him effectively pinning his arms to his side.

"I don't think so, Yuu-chan." Lavi said, his eyes alight with delight.

"There is no way in hell that I will wear these in public." Kanda growled, looking up and Lavi through his bangs.

"You don't have to wear them in public, just around me is fine." Lavi replied. Kanda didn't say anything, which Lavi took as a yes, and his grin just got even bigger.

So, how was it? Did it suck? That was my second time every writing shonen-ai and the first time was a fail... Anyway, please review!
