I forwarn you, this was written at midnight on my iPod and I was in a Glee repressed mood hence the depressing plot. I can't believe I actually wrote this. I'd say enjoy, but I don't think it's particularly happy...

He really tried to make it more. He tried to be more than friends. But he couldn't.
Blaine didn't know why. Maybe he was too scared off screwing it up. Maybe he feared Kurt would realise there was someone better for him. Maybe Blaine really didn't feel that way about him.
So he tried getting drunk in the hopes he would gain some courage, how ironic, and tell him how he felt. But all he managed to do was screw things up and kiss a girl. What a huge hit and miss.
When they lost Regionals it was the final straw. He cracked the last note, failing not only the Warblers and his reputation, but Kurt. Sweet, innocent Kurt.
As soon as they got back he locked himself in his room, tears falling down his face. He was such a failure. He'd let himself down so many times before and he did it again, despite swearing that he wouldn't.
What a horrible mentor he was. He'd had no clue when he'd told Kurt to stand up to Karofsky. Like he said, he ran. And he was going to do that again.
Blaine carefully locked the door to the bathroom as he grabbed his razor, sliding to the ground.
What a failure. A slash across his wrist.
How could he do this to his friends? The wound grew deeper.
He had no choice now. He could never look the Warblers in the eye again. A second slash.
And Kurt.
That single thought shook his hand, slicing deeper than the rest.
Sweet, scared naive little Kurt.
As Blaine's vision grew hazy, he pulled out his phone and said the one thing he needed to say before life left him.
"I'm sorry we were never more than friends Kurt. You are amazing, and you always will be. I wish I could've been as brave as you."
The boy sobbed as his arm seared with pain, watching as all the hurt and pain poured out of him.
He knew Kurt would find him. He knew Kurt would come. What he didn't know is that he'd be too late.

Ohmygod. I just killed off Blaine. Holy crap.

Blame it on Ryan Murphy (no pun intended) for the 2 week delay.
