Hey Kittens who have followed me for my Destiel fics. First off: IM SO SORRY IVE BEEN NEGLECTING YOU! Second, I've got serious writers block on the sequel to HEANS (if you want to help, message me. I'm taking one offer to cowrite (maybe) in google docs). THIRD: I dedicate this fic to my friend who gave me the idea last night when I went over to her house to spend the night. We ended up going back to my house and she and I spent the whole night drawing.

Sam knew that Dean was up to something. He just didn't know what.

If it wasn't for his brother's shady sneaking in and out of the bunker around midnight or his constantly distracted air he probably would've thought Dean was just love sick. Or worried about Cas.

The angel had gone off about a month or two earlier, something about having to rebuild heaven or something. Dean had seemed different ever since.

The first thing his brother had done when the angel disappeared was scour the bunker for a picture. Now, Sam wasn't one to question his brother too much, lest he make the elder offended, so he'd just given him an odd look and gone back to looking for possible cases.

After there first case, a rogue vamp who was feeding on elderly people, Dean had been acting strange. He'd been distracted while they were in the small village but Sam hadn't been one to question.

Once they'd gotten back to the bunker, however, Dean had taken Sam's computer.

Normally Sam would've objected but when he saw what his brother was looking up he left him to it. This would be an interesting story to watch play out till the end.

"So," Sam muttered casually, flipping idly through a newspaper he'd snagged from a restaurant. "What are you planning, Dean?"

"Planning?" Dean asked, sounding slightly startled. "I'm not planning anything."

"Don't lie to me Dean. What is it?"

"It's nothing. Don't worry about it." Dean muttered. "Have you found a new case?"

"Maybe. There's reports of graves being dug up in Oklahoma."

"Ghoul?"

"Maybe," Sam said.

"Right. Let's go." Dean grabbed his jacket and his keys just as the whooshing sound of Castiel's wings was heard.

Sam had to suppress a laugh. Cas had shown up just behind Dean, giving the other hardly any personal space.

He seemed to have noticed this however because he took a step back with a muttered "personal space, right."

Dean turned to look at Cas as he shrugged on his jacket. "Just in time Cas. Sammy and I were just headed out for a case." He handed Castiel a badge. "I made you a new one."

Castiel looked at the badge. "You made a mistake, Dean."

"What? Where?" Dean moved forward to examine the badge.

"Right here. You put my last name as Winchester." Castiel said.

"That's no mistake." Dean said, cheeks turning a slight pink.

Castiel raised an eyebrow and turned the badge over. Taped to the underside was a simple ring. It had tight crisscrossing rings that went around the entire thing. Silver and iron mingled together. Castiel blinked and picked it up.

"There's a bonding spell on it. I had to use my blood," Dean said. "I hope you like it."

Castiel didn't say anything. He simply slipped the ring on and enveloped Dean in a tight hug.

"Hey. As happy as I am that you two have finally resolved your, um, whatever it is, we have a case to do." Sam said.

Humph... Shorter than I was hoping for... Oh well. I hope you liked it! Heh, I've got an idea for a collection fic... ~Cat.
