One Shot
Buses not in service, late or early evil and uninviting or welcoming and appreciated. But buses not in service is the story of Gabriella Montez's life.
Gabriella was either always to early or just a second to for the bus. If she was early she didn't care unless it was freezing cold and raining. But being a second later just missing the bus had her screwed because that made her late for work. She was then hauled in her boss office and shouted at for being 10 minutes. Even when sometimes there were no buses it was always her fault.
On this particular day she got to the stop just before the bus left but the doors were closing. Someone called out and the driver opened the doors apologizing to Gabriella. She sat down next to the man who called out to the driver.
"Thank you," she said "You have no idea how much trouble you got me out of," said Gabriella
"No problem," said the man
However a couple weeks later Gabriella was forced to phone in late as the buses were not in service. The same man was at the bus stop. They picked up conversation. And strangely enough he mentioned he owed a garage and that if she wanted he would teach her how to drive.
"I'm a stranger why are you offering to help me?" asked Gabriella as they stepped on the bus
"Because I want to I like helping people," smiled the guy
"I don't even know your name," said Gabriella
"Troy," said Troy "I may even give you a car," he added
"You really don't have to give me a car," said Gabriella
"I want to it's new but it's the cheapest car out at the moment only $6000," said Troy
"You mean the new citeron c1?" asked Gabriella
"You know cars?" asked Troy
"I work in a garage. I'm a car saleslady," said Gabriella
"I believe this is your stop," said Troy pressing the button
"It was nice meeting you again," said Gabriella
"You too Gabriella," said Troy
5 minutes later Gabriella walked into the garage but seconds after her came Troy.
"Miss Montez this tardiness is unacceptable. I will not put you with your excuse that the bus was out of service," shouted her boss
"It was," said a voice
Gabriella and her boss looked round to see Troy.
"Mr Bolton," said her boss
"Crap," thought Gabriella "The guy who she had fallen for on the bus, who offered to give her a car and teach her how to drive was her bosses boss and her boss,"
"I was on the same bus as Miss Montez and a dozen busses went past us at the bus stop all out of service," said Troy
"Now Miss Montez get to work and you as well Frank," said Troy
Frank walked of slightly sulky about being told off.
"Thank you," said Gabriella
"No problem Gabriella you know my offer still stands about driving," said Troy
"I'll think about it," said Gabriella going to her desk and starting work.
Later that day Gabriella went to Troy's office and she accepted his offer of driving lessons. It took her a month to learn how to drive and at the end of it with discount because of her job she was able to buy for herself a new red citeron C1. But that is not all she got. During the daily bus journeys and driving lessons Gabriella and Troy became quiet close. So that is why 1 year down the line she is now Mrs Bolton.
