AN: This is my first Rizzles fic. I haven't written any fanfiction in a long time, so I apologize in advance for any typos/grammar errors. This is going to be a two-shot inspired by the song Drink On It by Blake Shelton. Rated M for the second chapter.

Disclaimer: I don't own them. They own each other.

Sitting in the dirty robber, with Maura, having a drink after finally finishing a case Jane thought that lasted forever. "So glad we finished that case, it felt like it lasted forever." Jane said taking a sip of her beer. "That's nearly impossible, Jane. It took us 4 months." Maura said taking a sip of her wine. Finishing her the last bit of her red wine Maura stood up. "I should get going. It's getting late, I have work tomorrow, and a lot on my mind." Maura said tiredly pinching the bridge of her nose. "No, stay, one more drink. I'll even buy it for you." Jane said putting a hand on Maura's arm. "Jane, you're on your 3rd drink already, and you also have work tomorrow." Maura said. Jane gave her, her best puppy dog eyes "Pwease?" Jane whined. Maura rolled her eyes "Fine, but only 1 more." She said as she slid back down on her side of the booth. Jane smiled at her "Thank you." She said happily and then turning towards a waiter and putting two fingers up indicating two more drinks.

"So, what's on your mind?" Jane said as she took a sip from her fourth beer. "I don't really want to talk about it, Jane." Maura said fiddling around with glass of wine, still full, she only had a few sips. She sighed a little. Jane was worried. "Maura, you can tell me anything. We're best friends. Now, what's wrong?" she said tilting her head to the side and placing a hand on top of the hand Maura wasn't using to hold her drink. Jane noticed Maura flinch at her touch. She pulled away and sat back. "That's the problem." Maura said looking down at her glass where her finger was making circles around. "You're my best friend, and in this certain situation I'm in it would make sense to talk to my best friend about it. But I can't." Maura said still looking down, but this time she closed she eyes and a single tear dripped down her cheek from her right eye. "Oh, sweetie." Jane got up and sat down next Maura putting an arm around her. "It's okay, you don't have to tell me." Jane said while rubbing small circles on Maura's back.

They were basically the only people left in the bar, besides a few regulars who stayed till closing. Which was very soon, a couple of waiters were already cleaning tables. Maura looked up at Jane's face they were inches a part. Not even aware of the fact that they were in a public place, and that waiters were cleaning tables near them, Maura placed her lips on Jane's.

The kiss started off slow, Maura's lips felt soft against hers just like she imagined they would. Is this what Maura was talking about? She wondered. She felt Maura's tongue against her lips, before this got any farther Jane pulled away. Maura looked a little disappointed she thought. Hands still holding each other, Jane leaned forward and said in a whisper only heard by the two of them "Your house or mine?" she asked with a grin.

Please review. I know it's short. I promise the next chapter will be longer.
