Annabeth and Percy were at the mall. They were just about to leave when Percy saw a pet store. Then it all went down hill

Annabeth POV

We were just finishing shopping. I had to literally drag Percy through the mall. When he finally stopped complaining, it was all quite nice. For about 1 millisecond. Then he would start up again. This was impossible! Finally when we were finished he was gonna run outside, but being the (mean) girl friend I am I held him back. He looked at me with a puppy dog face and said "Please Annabeth. Next time we go shopping I won't complain." I didn't believe it for a minute. But as he was trying and failing to convince me he suddenly stopped. "Oh look Annabeth- a pet store." He then tore off into it.

"Ah great" I muttered. "Here he goes again." When he got to the entrance of the shop he looked at me and grinned and my protests dropped.

Percy POV

Let me get this straight with you. Pet stores are THE coolest things ever. In the mortal world that is. A new one had just opened up in the mall and I was dying to go. Besides after all I do for Annabeth, she should let me.

When I finally got inside I immediately went to the dogs. I love dogs. Especially water dogs. So we got inside and I see this pure gold Labrador pup. I know I want it. So I go to drag Annabeth over here. "Annabeth – Annabeth come here!" I found her frozen at the spiders. I dragged her away.

"Thanks Percy- I appreciate it." I grinned and pulled her to the pup. "Oh no. No Percy. We are not getting any animals. Besides if we were getting one it would have to be a small animal. That's the only kind our apartment allows." Ughh she was making this impossible. Suddenly I grinned. That always works. But… not this time apparently. "No Percy No, No, No!!!" She was making this so hard. "Percy", she said. "We are not getting a pet today so let's go." I was still standing still. "NOW, Perseus Jackson." I grimaced. She only used my full name when she was serious. I sighed and turned to go. But I got stopped by a sales man.

"Hello, hello there young ones. Were you looking for a pet? That Labrador over there sure is a fine specimen. And it's on sale- only 399.99$. It's a great bargain for such a great pet." I started to reply but Annabeth cut me off.

"Sorry sir, we were just leaving. Thank you though." I grunted not wanting to answer. Annabeth the proceeded to drag me out of the store. I can walk, thank you very much.

Annabeth POV

When we were driving home Percy skulked. "Percy come on, it's only a dog."

"But it's the best dog in the history of dogs." Percy whined.

"Come here Percy." He leaned over and had a quizzical look on his face. "What?" he asked. I kissed him. "Fell any better Seaweed Brain?"

"Yeah Wise girl as long as I'm with you." He was so cheesy, but I didn't care. He was my cheesy Seaweed Brain.

"Besides," I said. "You have Mrs. O'Leary, right?"

"Yeah about that, Annabeth…." Yikes. What did he do?

"What'd you do Seaweed Brain?"

"Um well Mrs. O'Leary has to come stay with us for a couple of days."

"See now you can have a pet, wait WHAT?! Percy Mrs. O'Leary is like a 500 pound dog. She'll ruin our apartment. I will not permit for her to come."

"That's why we're going to her Wise Girl!" He kissed me. He murmured into my ear "and you thought I was dumb!"
