Integra pushed herself from beneath her covers and grabbed her glasses. She looked over to the windows, seeing that the moon was glaring at her. She sighed. She hadn't been able to sleep very well lately. Actually at all since the night her father died. God, she missed him. Not a minute passed when she didn't think about him.
She let out a breath and stood, letting her golden hair fall down her back. She bit her lip and crept from her bedroom.
She clenched her fists slightly and looked up to see Alucard's door. She was afraid that he was getting annoyed of her already, but for some reason, she felt safe when she was near him. He might have been a vampire, he might have been so dangerous back then… but, he saved her.
She swallowed hard and stood before his door. She took a breath and bit her lip, reaching up to knock on the door.
You don't need to knock, his voice shot through her head. She jumped slightly and let out a breath.
She gave a small smile and opened the door. She stepped into his bedroom, closing the door behind her. It was so dark in here, she could barely see a few feet in front of her. "Don't scare me like that." She said.
Alucard just smiled and let the top of his coffin open. "I'm so sorry, Master." His eyes brightened a bit as they ran over her. "Couldn't sleep?" He stood, looking down at the small child before him. He smiled and offered his hand. "Come now."
"Yes, I'm sorry about bugg--" She looked up into his eyes and back down to his hand. She smiled and took his hand softly.
He quickly pulled her towards him, wrapping his arms around her and laid back down in the coffin, letting the top of it close. He smiled and let his fingers run through her hair.
She stared off into the darkness for a moment, placing her head on his chest. He was so warm and his presence seemed to ease her fears. She closed her eyes. "Alucard?" She whispered.
"Yes, Master?" He looked down to her. She was so fragile but he saw that fire within her eyes… That fury, that danger that he knew would grow with age. It would be an interesting life.
"Please don't go away." She curled up against him.
Alucard was stunned for a moment. It was like she was begging him… Something he hadn't expected; something he never thought would happen. "Yes, Master. I will always be by your side. I will Always be yours."
