Illogical, Illegible, Pandemonium.

A Story. Set in Rewind.

Time stops everything, eventually.

5. Emperor and Knight. Empty titles with no meaning. Swords clashing. Knightmares that were once hailed as something amazing rendered useless. When Lelouch chooses the world over everything, Suzaku really can't say a word. Mixing up his last days with sleepless nights and drugs that numb his system, perhaps he could forget.

4. Zero and Seven. The first thought of as nothing, yet everything. Zero, which holds so much power, yet holds nothing at the same time. Seven seems meager next to it. And it desperately grasps at the mere single digits between the two to reach it. To reach Zero. Six. Perhaps it could. Five. Stepping over bodies, cutting off heads, seeing blood fly across his blade. Four. Climbing up the ladder connecting them. Red caked hands, raw throbbing feet. Three. The clock hands keep moving. Tick tock, tick tock. Time speeds up. Two. Flags lowered, countries fall. One. He never quite makes it.

"Zero."

3. Zero and Soldier. So simple, yet complex. Unwillingness to listen, to understand. Lelouch hides behind a mask. Suzaku picks fights just for the sake of it, to feel alive. Identity's mingle, walls are broken. Mirrors shatter before the two who are slowly dying.

2. Student and Eleven. Calm. Peace. The memories that are stuck on replay, with the cassette skipping parts at a time. A part is missing. The straight chalk line had been smeared.

1. Prince and Noble. Fights and distrust. Screams of a blind girl, and the flying fists of a boy who doesn't know. A boy clinging tightly onto a past that was quickly slipping away. Despite all this, the two became friends. Laughter. Happiness. Smiles untainted by darkness.

Time is endless.

But the starting point was never there.
