Slowly she undid the knot that she had created in her curly red hair. She wanted badly to yank it all out. She felt like she had lost her mind, when really all she had lost was him.

Back then her life had seemed perfect. Back then Bats didn't die.

Batman had blamed himself for awhile; well actually he still blamed himself. He hadn't saved Jason from that building quick enough, he'd been too late.

Barbra didn't blame Bruce though; she blamed the only person who really deserved blame…the Joker.

She couldn't stop herself anymore, so she walked down into the lower level of the cave just so that she could stare into his eyes again.

That was where his hologram was, that was all she had left.

"He deserves a monument," Barbra whispered pushing her hand through his translucent figure.

Biting her bottom lip she tried to stay strong like her mentor, but somehow the tears found their way out.

Telling someone that you like them is always hard and embarrassing, but not as bad as losing them before you get the chance.

She wished that she'd told him, oh how she wished. He was gone now though, and wishing wouldn't bring him back.

She knew that Batman wanted him back too. He still keeps Todd's costume displayed in the Batcave, to remind himself of his greatest failure. To remind himself that he should feel guilt.

Barbra could still remember the conversation that the 3 Bats had, had about him after he'd died.

She and Nightwing had tried to convince him that displaying the costume just so that he could blame himself everyday was wrong. But Bruce is a stubborn man and doesn't give up an argument easily, so in the end the protégés had given up.

His Robin costume was still there. His hologram was still here. But he deserved more, he was Jason. He was Robin.
