Austin's Pov.

I am Austin Moon. I live in Miami, Florida. I have a best friend named Dez. And to other friends named Trish and Ally. I am 16-years-old, meaning I live with parents. Well, my father. My mom died two years ago. Ever since then, my father has been abusing me. I don't tell anyone, though. I've always wanted to be a singer. Nobody knows, though. Right now, I am sitting at the piano in Ally's family store, Sonic Boom. Ally is working at the counter, Trish probably has some strange job, and Dez is probably recording paint drying or something. I am playing some random melody I heard once in a song.

"Austin?" Ally asks, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing." I sigh, "Just... Life."

Ally comes up to me and places a comforting hand on my shoulder, "Why is that?"

"Not life in general." I state, "Just my life."

Then, Trish and Dez walk in.

"Guess who got a job at, Eugene's Jeans!" Trish said as she stopped and posed.

Dez pushed Trish out of the way, "Guess who was shooting a video of... Paint Drying!"

See. Didn't I tell you? Some crazy job and a video of paint drying. Then, they see the sad expression on my face. They both come over and hug me.

"What's wrong, buddy?" Dez asks.

"Okay. I'm about to tell you guys something big. You can't tell anyone. Got it?" I say, looking at my friends, seriously.

"We promise."

"My dad abuses me." I state, quickly. Everyone's eyes go wide.

"What?" Ally says, shocked. I think she is frozen.

"I just said it. I'm not gonna say it again." I state, then I walk out of Sonic Boom. I walk to the beach and just sit on the sand. I get out my IPod, plug my earbuds in, and then put the earbuds in my ears. I turn the IPod on, and choose a song. I close my eyes and forget about all the troubles in the world.
