This is my second fan fiction, and I'm writing it in collaboration with my friend, this story will be uploaded on her account. I am only putting up the teaser. "There was a…. sadness in his eyes I'd never seen before" Jessie said.
"I know how he feels. None of us can afford to lose each other. The bond between us, it is stronger than ever before, and to lose even one will be devastating." Sirius said, pacing the length of the room, his hands behind his back. Remus entered the room and asked, "What's wrong? Did I miss something?" "Nothing, really" Sirius replied. "Why are we here today, like this?" James asked. "This might just be the last time we are safe. Just thought we ought to spend it together." Jessie said.
Astéria, Lily, Jessie, Remus, James, Sirius and Peter were gathered inside James's room at Hogwarts. Sirius gave each of them a goblet, and poured firewhiskey for each of them. He raised his glass flamboyantly, and called toast, "To our undying bond of friendship, love, and loyalty. May we survive this war, and get to live the rest of our lives in a better world." They all drank to that with smiles on their faces, but somewhere, deep down, they all knew that they couldn't survive this war without losses.
There was an odd sort of anticipation and happiness in their hearts, happiness in the knowledge that even if death came to them, they would, one day, be reunited in a place far better from this, even though a lifetime apart. For the first time, in a lifetime, even in the face of death, they were all united, and fearless.
