Just a stupid little poem I wrote while listening to "Breaking the Habit" by Linkin Park… Yeah. Just Envy's opinion about humans. Maybe something about what it means to be a Sin later… Whatever.

Envy
Pathetic humans scurrying about their worthless lives
Like starving ants over a piece of food
Each one thinking he is so important
My mouth twists in a sneer.
Delusional little insects struggling to survive
Believing their lies to the last till their own self destruction.
Parasitic vermin cluttering the planet,
And I am the exterminator.

Note: After receiving several reviews, I have realized it is necessary to clarify on the angle of this poem. This is based on the manga, NOT the anime! Surprisingly, they follow VERY different plotlines. For example, there is no Dante, Homunculi are not created through failed human transmutations of the dead, and Envy's truest form is a huge, lizard-like monstrosity created with the souls of all 4000 inhabitants of Xerxes. Oh, and Envy hates Edward no more than any other human, and even goes to the extreme of being swallowed by Gluttony (after the porker goes on a mad rampage while trying to destroy Mustang for killing Lust) to try and keep Edward alive for his 'Father's purposes: a.k.a being a human sacrifice for the stone.
