Turnabout Christmas Surprise
"Oh…my…God." Said Phoenix to himself, gaping in awe at what happened to his office. His office, which now looked like someone set off a Christmas-y nuke inside it, was completely decked out with three or so Christmas trees, gold and white tinsel that completely covered the walls and ceiling, and strategically place Mistletoe. There could be only one person who would do something like this.
"Pearls…" the defense attorney muttered under his breath, "a certain little spirit medium is going to get a lump of coal in her stocking this year…"
"Hey, Nick! What's up…with…uh…Nick? What happened…?"
Phoenix placed his face in the palm of his hand.
"Pearls happened."
"Seriously?! She did this?"
"This is Pearls we're talking about, Maya."
"Oh. Right."
"So what are we going to do about all of this?"
"I don't know. Maybe we can—"
"Oh, Mystic Maya! Mr. Nick! Do you like my Christmas surprise?"
"And speak of the devil, here she comes." Said Phoenix, who was looking at Pearl running up to them with a big smile on her face.
"I-it's great, Pearly!" Said Maya, nervously.
"Really? You like it?" Said Pearl, eyes sparkling.
"Yeah! It really was a…surprise…"
"You know, I did all of this for you two. You can't be with your special someone on Christmas and not be in a Christmas-y room! And that's why I put up the…the…missile-toe? I heard that if you stand underneath it with someone, you have to kiss them!"
Both Phoenix and Maya blushed bright red from the thought and Pearl just laughed innocently. It stayed quiet for about a minute until Maya spoke up.
"H-hey! I have an idea! Why don't we all go out for some burgers?"
"That's a great idea, Mystic Maya! Could we also invite Mr. Scruffy Detective and Mr. Edgeworth as well?"
"Uh, sure! What do you think, Nick?"
"Huh? Oh! Uh, yeah! Let's go get them!"
Pearl laughed again and ran to the door.
"This is the best Christmas ever!"
Phoenix and Maya looked at each other and laughed too. They silently agreed with Pearl.
This IS the best Christmas ever.
