This is a little drabble I did for the SS/HG drabble exchange on Live Journal. I was rather flummoxed today to discover that it has been nominated for Best Drabble, SS/HG, in the HP FanFic Poll Awards, Fall/Winter Round 2013 on Live Journal. When I went all squee on my sister, she said, 'Why have I not read this?'. That's when I realized I never posted it here. Well, here you go. I hope you like it!

Water dripped through the cracked stone walls into the dungeons. Hermione's feet were cold where they had splashed through the gathering puddles. She had run in the darkness—falling, twisting, and turning through the castle's bowels. Her only thought was to find her husband, the man she quietly married shortly after the war.

With a wave of her wand, she whispered, "Point me!", only to discover the spell was useless here. She knew her time was nearly up. She would be caught, and there would be no escape this time.

She must find her husband and soon. Severus meant freedom.

A shout in front of her signaled victory. "Hermione! Over here! Hurry, love!"

She slammed into his body, and he held her tightly, kissing her for reassurance.

A gong rang and the lights went up. Ron, Harry, and Draco came into view. "Fuck it all, you gits," said Draco. "You let her win, again!"

"I'm no good at these razor games," said Ron.

"Laser game; we're playing Laser tag," said Harry.

"That was too close for comfort," said Hermione. "Next time, Severus and I get Draco, and you two find someone else. Two against three is not fair!"
