Chapter 1: girls from the real world
Marissa and her best friend Allison were a huge fan of X-Men Evolution the platinum blonde and brunette laid on their stomachs watching there favorite tv show. Marissa had pale skin well Allison had tan skin they both were pretty muscler. As they watched the tv began to glow.
Both vanishing into the tv.
-Bayville high school-
Marissa awoke to an open field. Allison was not with her for some reason.
Marissa felt a bit worried quickly she got up to look around the age sixteen. When suddenly someone teleported in front of her. It was a boy with blue hair and blue skin. Nightcrawler aka Kurt Wagner.
"holy shit!"
"Easy! Easy! I mean you no harm!" Kurt quickly said, holding his hands up in defense.
"Wait I'm not shit….." Marissa backed up both in shock and awe before trying to think of something that would distract him. "Hey what's that."
"What?" Kurt asked, looking around. That's when Marissa ran off. Kurt turned to see the girl was gone. "Oh great the professor is gonna have a field day."
Kurt disappeared into thin air back home. Hopefully he wouldn't get scolded too much.
-Xavier's institute hour later-
Kurt flinched slightly. As he told professor what happened. "Kurt! This is very serious! We need to find this girl before she tells anyone else."
"But how? I didn't even get her name," Kurt asked.
"Do you remember what she looked like." Xavier folded his hands.
"Yes," said Kurt. "She had platinum blonde hair, pale skin, and two different colored eyes."
"Two different colors? That sounds weird," said Kitty crossing her arms.
"Actually, that's not unheard of," said Ororo. "It's called heterochromia. Some people are born with it. Kurt, what colors were her eyes?"
"One was blue the other was purple."
"How about Jean and I drive around and see if we can find her?" Scott offered..
"Go ahead."
-with Marissa-
Marissa took a breath her bra was riding up on her d cup breast she folded it over her arm. "Ok Marissa that actually happened. But nothing is wrong just calm down and think what should you do."
Marissa took a breath she walked over to the road to figure out what street they were on. The first thing she needed was some kind of special metal to prevent a psychic memory wipe. She wondered if there was a mask store with a special metal.
She walked around until her eyes landed a store that sold costumes. "What are the chances…."
She entered the shop looking around for a metal mask from Japan it looked like a fox it covered the whole face.
"I see you have taste," said the clerk with a smile. "That one just came in. It's made from a pretty unique metal."
"Whats is this special metal." Marissa asked in a simple tone she needed to make sure it was the right stuff.
"It was made from a material from vimbraian from a man. Supposedly he also made a helmet or so I'm told...why?" The clerk asked Marissa looked at him.
"I'll take it how much."
"One hundred dollars." the clerk told her.
Marissa instantly paid and left as quickly as she could she placed the mask on the bells rang as she walked. Then she saw a car.
'Scott stop I can't hear the one wearing the mask thoughts.'
Scott stopped the car. 'You can't? What's going on?' He asked in his head.
"Do you need something." Marissa asked in a calm tone.
"Did you happen to see anything…. Unusual?" Jean asked.
Marissa ran after the question. Probably should have been more careful.
"Great," Jean groaned.
"I'll catch up," said Scott while starting the engine and followed her.
"Hey! Stop!" Jean shouted. "We just wanna talk!"
"Yeah right!" Marissa ran up to a latter and started climbing before jumpinting to the next rooftop.
"I got this," said Jean. She unbuckled her seatbelt and levitated to the rooftop. Once she reached the top, Jean followed her. "We don't wanna hurt you!"
"The one time I wish I had some kind of ability is now." Marissa muttered to herself before doing a jump and grabbing a ladder climbing it quickly.
"Will you please just listen?" Jean called.
"Give me one reason!" Marissa shouted she climbed up quickly and jumped to the next side of the roof.
"We have to protect our friends secret!" Jean called. "If that goes public, he'll be ostracized!"
She stopped. "I'm trying to avoid having my memory erased."
"I'm sorry. But it has to be that way. We know nothing about you. We can't be sure you won't tell anyone who could try to harm him, or us," Jean sadly said.
"Your name's Jean Gray, his name's Scott Summers. If I know this I could've told a ton of people by now."
Jean was shocked. "How-how did you know that? I didn't tell you yet."
"I know a lot. And now I'm gonna say goodbye." Marissa threw a smoke bomb on the ground.
Jean coughed as smoke covered the area. When the smoke cleared, Jean opened her eyes and found Marissa gone. She sighed and headed back to Scott.
-In the forest -
Marissa pented her heart pounded her head was banging hard against her head something was seriously wrong with her right now.
Her body was acting weird maybe she was getting sick from all this running. Marissa felt her throat throb. It was like there was something trying to get out. A squirrel ran up to Marissa and sniffed her mask.
She really hoped she wasn't becoming squirrel girl because that would have been very stupid. She really wanted it off her. "Get off!"
The squirrel stopped and got off her as if it was obeying her but a wolf stopped as well like it was obeying her. "Run off."
The two creatures ran away this was freaking her out a bit what if her ability came from her voice...she could control animals…..
Her eyes landed on a dying flower. She felt sad watching it. When she put her hand on the flower and sang, it almost instantly came back to life. She realized it wasn't just animals, she could control nature.
She wondered if there was more though. Her back and voice must have hurt because of it. Her back hurt though she wondered she pulled her shirt off and two large white wings spread out. Naturakinesis and wings she could manplate nature possibly shapeshift….the wings were overkill though… she hoped the mask prevented her from being tracked.
-Xavier Institute-
"She knew who you two were?" Charles asked.
"And she know you were gonna erase her memories." Jean said crossing her arms.
"But how could she know that?" Charles asked.
"Maybe she can see the future or something maybe that mask is like Magneto's helmet. Didn't you say you couldn't track him with it on?" Logan said in a gruff tone.
"I did," said Charles. "But it's too soon to say for sure if her knowledge is due to mutation or not."
"Too bad we can't just find her and ask her. I mean if I could get her scent I could find her." Logen said in a another gruff tone.
"Could you smell her from a piece of jewelry?" Jean asked pulling out a locket from her pocket.
"Where'd ya get that, red?" Logan asked.
"On the roof. She dropped it," said Jean. "I showed Kurt the picture and he confirmed it. That's her."
Logan took the locket and smelled. "Definitely trackable." he started to move."Ok kids lets go."
-With Marissa-
She took a moment to relax her sleep was peaceful. She needed to make another move just in case they found her again.
Some birds flew up to her as if to say, "Hello."
"Hi, birds," said Marissa. "Listen, let me know if you see any people with X's on their clothes."
The birds nodded and then flew away.
"I could get used to that," said Marissa.
"Cute, trick, little girl," said a scary growling male voice.
Marissa gulped. Her body twitched when she saw Sabertooth.
"I was just passing through while looking for Wolverine, wasn't really expecting you, your scent is similar. But it might be worth bringing you to Magneto," said Sabertooth, walking towards her.
Marissa was mentally begging for her body to turn into a cat right now. Or some kinda plant to attack him at this point. The wind rushed past and pushed him back her hand glowed.
"Hmm. Impressive," Sabertooth said with a smirk as he sat up. He then got back on his feet. "Magneto could use you."
"Leave her be, Sabertooth!" Shouted another male voice. And who should come charging but Wolverine.
"Yep double screwed." Marissa mentally said really wishing she could turn into a cat or something right now.
The other X-Men appeared and Kitty told her, "Stay with us! We won't let that nut hurt you!"
"You all stay back! Sabertooth's mine!" Wolverine shouted.
Marissa finely felt her body shift into a cat. 'Oh now you do it!'
"Please, don't run," Jean begged while picking her up, not wanting a repeat of before. "We're here to help."
She seemed to be deciding on whether or not to run she watched as Wolverine slammed Sabertooth into a tree. She mentally wasn't ready so she climbed another tree and jumped to a different one in her cat form.
"Wait! Where are you going?!" Kitty called while chasing her.
"She can turn into a cat? Didn't see that coming." Scott said.
"No kidding," said Kurt. "And she's running away again."
Sabretooth and Wolverine ended on the ground until Wolverine sent him to the ground. This was the time Sabertooth ran off in the direction the girl went.
"You leave her alone!" Wolverine shouted as he chased Sabertooth.
Marissa kept running until she found a stream. She remembered how some animals hide hide their scent with water and become harder to track. That in mind, Marissa jumped into the water, climbed back out, and kept goin. Hiding behind a tree. By the time Sabertooth got there, Marissa was gone and he had no scent to go on. He roared in anger.
"When I find that girl I'll drag her to Magneto by her neck." Sabertooth ran off into another direction.
"She's not going anywhere with you, bub," Logan growled, extending his claws.
"Till next time, Logan," Sabertooth growled before leaving.
"Yeah, till next time," Logan replied.
Marissa came out from the tree and begin to climb only for someone to grab the scruff of her neck. It was a little odd… she really should have turned into a fish and went down stream.
"We need to have a talk," said Logan. He held onto her and continued. "Ya got potential. But you're still a rookie. I saw that other trick you pulled on Sabertooth. If ya don't learn control, ya could kill somebody."
"For that reason, we would like to invite to come to the Xavier Institute," Storm added.
'I honestly can't talk. And how is a little wind gonna kill someone? I was just trying to knock him over.' Marissa didn't have her mask mentally she swore.
"She's wondering how wind could kill someone," said Jean. "Don't worry, I'm just doing this so we can talk until you turn human."
"And to answer your question, elemental powers are always dangerous," said Storm. "Sometimes winds are small, and sometimes they're big and dangerous. I know that all too well."
'Then me being miss nature isn't so great.' Her tail lashed as if she was saying she was agitated.
"That's not what Storm was saying," said Jean. Everyone was confused. "She said her having nature powers isn't so great."
Storm held Marissa and said, "I'm saying you need training to better control these abilities. And we can offer it to you. But it's up to you to decide."
She sighed. 'This is why I use the mask it blocked mental abilities. And aren't you curious how scary guy found me he said he was looking for Logan and yet he found me….do we have similar scents?'
Jean passed that along and Logan said, "Maybe a slight similarity. But we were also looking for you. He probably just smelled me coming in your direction."
'Doubtful. Animals that are related though sometimes have similar scents.'
"True," said Jean. She then reached into her pocket and pulled out the necklace. "Almost forgot to return this. You dropped it."
Marissa blinked her form shifted and she quickly snatched it. "Thank you." she opened the locket smiling at the picture.
"I wanted to return it to you earlier, but we couldn't find you," said Jean.
"That's why I used the mask." Marissa calmly said and began to walk off.
"Wait!" Storm said while catching up to her. "Will you at least give some thought to what we said?"
"I was chased down by her and nearly kidnapped. At this point I don't really trust you. And honestly I didn't trust adults to start with." Marissa walked off.
Kurt teleported in front of her and asked, "Could you at least tell us your name?"
"Oh it's you, the cute furry boy." Marissa rubbed her neck. "Marissa. It's Latin."
"That's a pretty name," said Kurt. "My name is Kurt. Kurt Wagner."
"Nice to formally meet you then." Marissa turned around and went to look for her mask.
"If you're ever in trouble or just lonely, don't hesitate to call us," said Jean while floating a communicator over to her.
She looked at it. She really didn't know what to say. She ran off turning into a black bird and flying off with it in her talons. She stopped only to retrieve her fallen mask.
- in New York 3 days later-
Marissa transformed into a human again she hadn't had a real plan. But she did have an idea. One that Xavier probably wouldn't agree with.
"Wanda…. I'll free you then….I guess I could join Mystique." she looked sadly at the communicator.
"Who does that Spiderman think he is?!" A man's angry voice asked from a TV screen.
"Nice…. I guess I should be careful if spidey and his friends are in this universe." Marissa rubbed her neck. "Ok maybe I can make a portal or something two where she is free her then let her do whatever."
"He's nothing but trouble maker, and a menace!" Jameson shouted.
"That's not true!" Peter Parker shouted. He groaned when he realized how loud he was.
"Pigeons can you do me a fave and poop on that guy on the screen." Marissa said to the pigeons on the ground.
The pigeons cooed and nodded before flying off to do the task asked of them. It was unfortunate for Jameson, because he was reporting live.
"How the heck did pigeons get in here!? Ahh! Run for your lives!" he shrieked. The birds all started pooping on him on tv while he shouted at them to stop.
Marissa laughed at that. As did everyone who was watching. This was sure to go viral.
"Nice one," Peter complimented.
"I have no clue what you're talking about." Marissa said walking off.
He smirked and made a mental note to not report that to Fury just yet.
Marissa curve through to the alleyway and opened a portal in the ally way while Peter followed her.
She walked into it closing it behind her. Peter just missed it.
"Okay. I think I'll hold off on telling Nick about her," Peter said to himself before walking away.
The portal quickly reopened. A girl with red hair came out with the the girl Peter saw so he quickly hid.
"Thanks for busting me out," said Wanda, taking a few calming breaths.
"It was an asylum. You're a good person just had the wrong family just remember if you need me just call me." Marissa wrote down her phone number. "I wish you could've meet my mom. She would've loved you."
"I'm sure she would've," said Wanda. "I'm Wanda. Wanda Maximoff."
"Marissa…. I don't use my last name. I'm a runaway from a foster home so there's no point." Marissa sighed sadly.
"Sorry to hear that," said Wanda.
Peter was pretty sorry to hear that too. He wished there was something he could do to help.
"Anyway do what you want and keep breathing. See you." Marissa turned into a bird and flew off.
"That girl is something else. And I don't need my spidey sense to know that," said Peter as he watched her leave. "Wouldn't mind seeing her again."
-end of the street of New York-
Marissa landed changing form she was getting a little bit a hang of transforming between human and animal. Through she wasn't completely there.
She was still following Wanda hoping she wouldn't go to where she think she was. Wanda seemed to be going to a high school.
"Oh come on, Wanda. I know you're angry but please don't." Marissa whispered quietly to herself. She followed after her.
Wanda walked inside the gym where a basketball game was just ending. Wanda took a seat and watched the game. She had her eyes on one player in particular, a boy with white hair named Pietro Maximoff.
Soon though the game ended with Evan Daniels scoring the winning shot. Once that happened the time seemed to tick away and soon almost all the kids were gone and Marissa knew Evan and Pietro were inside, she headed where Wanda went.
Wanda started walking towards the locker room, but stopped. She seemed to be thinking about something.
"You know you really don't have to do this. You can disown your family if you want, hate them….but you don't have to hurt him. He's not at fault, not really." Marissa told her from behind her the lights were flickering. "He wasn't much older than you. What could he do at that age? I know it's not an excuse, I guess he could've fought a little but I can be your family….if you want."
Wanda took a deep breath before facing Marissa. "I was starting to rethink anyway," she said. "I am still mad. But I guess a part of me started thinking that no matter how badly I beat my brothers face in, it won't change anything."
"Then how about this, we'll talk to him and afterwards, if you need to let out your anger, tears, anything, you can with me." Marissa hugged Wanda rubbing the poor girls back.
Wanda smiled at her and said, "I'd like that…. Sister."
"Good now let's talk to your former brother." marissa held her hand. They both walked in Pietro instantly took notice.
"Wanda?!" Pietro asked in shock and fear.
"Relax, Pietro, I'm not here to hurt you," Wanda coldly told him.
Marissa gestured for her to say what she wanted. Wanda took a breath. "I hate you. And you didn't even try to help me, or even stand up for me. You're just like our father. And because of that I don't consider you or father my family. In fact as far as I'm concerned the one willing to get me out is my real family and as far as I'm concerned I plan to work with someone who actually tried to help me instead of locking me away because he didn't want to help me control my powers."
"Wanda….. I…. I'm sorry…" Pietro said in shock.
"It's a little late now, Pietro," said Wanda. "I have a new sibling now."
"Wanda, I didn't want him to send you away. But dad convinced me it was for the best," Pietro said.
"You're an idiot." Marissa bitterly laughed at that. "Your father only wanted to further his goals and he couldn't do so well trying to train her. No you wanted to believe what he said because it was easier."
"What do you know? You don't know me," Pietro said, pretty angry. "Who are you?!"
"I'm Marissa and I know a lot more then you might think. I've seen the future and Wanda doesn't deserve that. So if I have to be the bad guy to prevent that, I will."
"And just so you know, Pietro, she's being a better sister than you were a brother," Wanda coldly said.
"Let's go, Wanda. We have Mystique to talk to." Marissa took her hand her plan was pretty simple she was gonna work on getting Rogue to be her friend and after that she'd figure out the rest.
"Wanda!" Pietro called. But it was too late, they already left.
Right after that Storm came out from her hiding place looking very concerned.
'Charles, that girl, Marissa, broke Wanda out of the asylum and is traveling with her,' Storm informed the professor.
'I see. That is problematic.' Charles sounded fairly concerned.
'Oddly enough, Wanda seemed to have her anger more under control. I suspect Marissa is helping her,' Storm/Ororo replied.
'You don't say,' said Charles.
'I do say. Even so, that girl concerns me. Almost as much as my nephew,' said Ororo. 'He's being stubborn.'
'I see maybe if some of the team came to talk to him it would help him. But what's your concern with Marissa.' Charles asked in a concerned tone.
'While she doesn't seem loyal to Mystique but she plans on young her, I'm not sure what her goals are,' Ororo replied. 'But I'm worried her current path may lead her to make a terrible mistake.'
'There might not be much we can do without seeming like we're forcing her. So we best give her some space,' Charles told Ororo. 'Oh, by the way, cerebro picked up another mutant signature during the game. Did you notice anything?'
'No. I have an idea of who it was, but I'm not certain,' said Ororo.
'Oh yes that reminds me there was also a signature coming from New Mexico.'
'A third in mutant? Who?' Ororo asked.
'Sadly, little is known. But cerebro did reveal it to be a young female. I'll send Logan, Kurt, and Kitty to talk to her. Scott and Jean will help you with Evan,' said Charles
'Did you even get her name?' Ororo asked.
'I did,' said Charles. 'Allison.'
-New Mexico-
Allison seriously wasn't happy she was in the back of a truck on her way to jail.
"I didn't do anything wrong!" Allison said while crying. "They attacked me first! I was defending myself!"
"Just be quiet back there!" The guard shouted at her as he continued to drive.
"You can't do this to me! It's not right!" Allison screamed while banging the truck. Suddenly, Allison's body turned into solid steel and she dented the truck. She gasped. "Did I just-"
The police guards really wished the girl would shut up.
This gave her an idea. Allison, still steel started pulling her arms. The chains of the cuffs started to break. She pulled more and more until, finally, they broke in half.
She busted out of the back and ran away from the truck. She panted once she got away. As she panted, Allison's skin turned back to normal and she looked around. She was pretty far away.
"Do I have…. super speed?" Allison asked herself. "How is this possible?"
"That would be the x gene." A female voice said.
Allison followed the voice and saw Shadowcat, Nightcrawler, and Wolverine.
"Hi Kitty, Logan, Kurt...hey by chance have you seen an evil genius female?" Allison asked in a simple tone.
"You talkin about Marissa?" Logan asked.
"You've seen her?!" Allison happily asked, her skin turned into rose quartz. "Is she alright? Where is she?"
"We don't know," Kurt sadly said, looking away. "She ran away from us when we tried to help her."
"That seems typical of her," Allison said, turning back to normal. "Marissa is a demon when she puts her mind to something she'll do it. Even if it means doing a bad thing for a good reason."
"What about you?" Logan asked. "What do you want to do?"
Allison thought about that. "I wanna control my abilities. And use them to help people. But I'm not saying my friend's bad just to be clear."
Kitty didn't seem to doubt that she had actually met her. "I believe you. But if she's willing to do a bad thing, does that, like, mean she might do something really bad?"
"Maybe. I don't know for sure," said Allison rubbing her neck. "I mean she beat a guy for being a racist. She's tough like me, but she doesn't like injustice and she's been bullied and her parents died recently. So she could do a lot with nothing to lose."
"Sounds like she could use some guidance," said Wolverine. "Maybe you too."
"Yeah she could…..and I could too….we should be careful as well. Marissa isn't normal by any means." Allison rubbed her neck.
"Ya. We noticed when we met her," said Kurt, rubbing his neck.
"I'm just saying she's fragile, okay?" Allison said.
"She is?" Kitty asked, tilting her head. "I'm sorry. We should probably be more sensitive."
"Have you ever lost everything and then end up in a place that made it ten times worse?" Allison asked them look sadly at her hand. "Marissa hid in my home. She never met her father. And she has nothing."
Logan looked sympathetic. "I know how that feels."
-With Marissa and wanda in Belleville-
Marissa curled up on Wanda's lap in her cat form. Wanda sat in the chair waiting for the principal. The door opened and a brown haired woman wearing glasses came in.
"Ah! Ms. Maximoff. Good to see you," said the woman. "I'm your principal, Raven Darkholme. And is Marissa around?"
The cat changed in front of Raven she stretched. "Yeah just catching some z's." Marissa stretched a bit.
"Well, I'd like to personally welcome you to Bayville high. I'm hoping this school can be a good start for you two," said Raven.
"Thanks. Me too." Marissa smiled cheerfully. "I look forward to going to this school."
Raven handed them each a piece of paper. "Here are your schedules. I put you in the same classes."
"Thank you." Marissa smiled she took her friends hand and walked out of the office Raven transformed into her blue form.
"The girl has potential," said Magneto, who appeared from the shadows. "And she's keeping Wanda in check."
"And to think she came to me first," said Raven, smiling wickedly. "We have to make sure to keep her with us. If we lose her, we may also loose Wanda."
"And we can't have that," said Magneto.
"And these two aren't the only new students this week," said Mystique. "Xavier is enrolling two new students as well. A boy named Evan Daniels and a girl named Allison."
"This should be interesting." Magneto said in a simple tone.
"Indeed," said Mystique.
