It was an average Tuesday morning when Woody ventured downstairs to retrieve the newspaper from the recycling bin. He was heading back to the stairs, skimming the Everyday section as he did, when something shot out from the living room door and latched onto his neck. It pulled him inside, hitting his head on the door frame as he jerked backward.
"Ow!"
Bo winced as she unhooked him. "Sorry! Did I get you on the door?"
The Cowboy rubbed his head. "Yeah. It's not enough to give me whiplash, you gotta give me a concussion too?"
She pouted. Taking his face in her tiny white hands, she pushed back his hat and kissed his temple where he had collided. In spite of the pain, he couldn't help but smile…
Sometime later, Jessie made her way to the living room. As she scaled the green sofa, she could see two toys curled up together in the corner. Grinning, she pulled herself up on the arm and plopped down Indian style. "Don't you two look rosy-cozy?"
Woody didn't even open his eyes. "What do you want, Jessie?"
"Rex's tryin' to beat the high score on Space Kombat so I thought I'd watch TV down here. That is, if I'm not interruptin' anythin'." She quirked her head to the side with a sly smile. "Ya know Woody, we all teased you about bein' a snuggler…"
Woody finally did crack open his eyes a little. "Yeah…" he said slowly.
Jessie looked pointedly at Bo, who was nestled in Woody's vest. "But she's just as big a snuggler as you are!"
"Jessie…" Woody said in a warning tone.
"Mmm," Bo murmured. "Guilty." She sat up a little, speaking to Jessie as she did. "Can you blame me? I mean look at him. Look at his body. He's one big pillow." Woody looked at her in surprise and she smiled. "What? You're my boy toy. Can't I show you off once in a while?"
Jessie began to howl with laughter. She laughed so hard she didn't notice that she was about to fall backwards off the sofa arm until it was too late. "Eep!"
Woody smiled roguishly at Bo. "All this time I thought you liked me for my sparkling personality and it turns out you were just using me for my body."
"Oh absolutely. Lie down, Pillow." Laughing, Woody pulled her close for more snuggles.
