Chapter 1 Who My Parents Are
It was raining down hard as a beaten up Naruto carried a nearly dead Sasuke Uchiha to his village's gates. Upon reaching the gates, the two chunin guards on duty took Sasuke and left a bleeding Naruto there to die. Before he began to black out from utter exhaustion, he turned and saw a figure, which he recognized as Temari, running towards him. He said through a gulp of blood, "Temari-chan how's Gaara do-" before blackness engulfed him.
He awoke in a dark chamber, lying in a pool of water and a very dim light coming from above. He looked towards what seemed to be bars for a cage, to see two huge eyes with black slits with red and black engulfing either side of the pupils. Then an evil smile appeared and Naruto saw its fangs stained with what looked to be…Dried blood! Backing up, Naruto slipped and fell on his ass. The being behind the bars laughed louder than anything he could ever imagine. That's saying something, thought Naruto as he said with killing intent leaking from his voice, "Who are you laughing?! If anyone should be me because a giant being is trapped inside my mind, and I think I know who you really are? Isn't it the Nine-Tailed Fox! " Once he'd ended is statement, the fox showed herself, and growled out, but with surprise, not anger or rage, "You know who I am?" Naruto nodded before saying in a kind tone, "Yeah I kinda put two and two together when the villagers would call me a 'Demon' and no would ever bring up a certain subject, that I finally learned was your attack on our village, and how rumor was that it been sealed away in a small child. This is because the Nara, Uchiha, and Yamanaka Clans were talking about it the training grounds one day. So what's your real name?" Naruto finished with sheepish grin. "My name Kurama, and I am the most feared of all my brethren. Though your mother and father sealed me in you when you had just been born," Kurama stated matter-of-factly. 'YOU KNEW MY PARENTS! WHO WERE THEY! ", Naruto yelled excitedly. Patients young kit, but they were the two bravest souls I ever killed-" Kurama said softly before Naruto interrupted loudly, "YOU KILLED THEM! I WWWWIIIILLLL KKKKIIIILLLL YYYOOOUUU" Naruto thundered before charging at Kurama. Suddenly a claw of pure chakra grabbed him and said rather irritably, "Now listen here kit, your mother and father were killed when I tried to kill you so wouldn't end up like this again. But Kushina Uzumaki and the Fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze protected you at the cost of their lives, but I was under the spell of a genjustu casted by Madara Uchiha, who wields the Sharingan, Rinnagan, and the Mangekyou Sharingan. I have even come to believe he's a descendant of my father, the Sage of Six Paths, who possessed the Rinnagan. Now, you're under my training since we now both seek revenge on the Uchiha. You can visit this place anytime you wish, just simply imagined it and you'll appear. Now then, you've been in a coma for over three weeks, so I shall free you to go about what you wish, but remember this piece of advice, it'll make sense later. 'One that gambles with Shinigami must risk their own soul to achieve their righteous goal! The fallen can be returned only if the one who gambles can succeed' and that is what you must do, young Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze! Retrieve what was taken from you and you will continue your father's legacy. Now do you agree to these challenges that you face ahead?" Kurama announced with a hint of killing intent in case he refused. "I'll do it. But the Fourth was best known for his Rasengan and the Hiraishin. Two jutsus that haven't been found since he died." Naruto said sadly. "Imagine a three prong kunai that looks like this, and Kurama showed him what it looked like through her memories. He did as he was told, and one appeared in his hand. Shocked, he looked at Kurama, who nodded and said, "Once you leave it will appear in your pocket of your cloths at your house. Make your father proud," she finishing off as he began to disappear and wake up. He awoke in a hospital bed to see a somewhat heavy looking guy with long white hair that went down to his legs, wearing a red cloak with flaming frogs printed all around it, wearing dark gray pants a fishnet shirt underneath his cloak, and who grinned at seeing him stir. He seemed to emanate a kind of power of experience and great sorrow, but masked it up quickly and said in a booming voice, "Hello Naruto, I am Jiraiya of the legendary Sannin, and your godfather"
Author's notes: " I personally believe that even Naruto can gamble with the Death, befriend Kurama, which is her name. I also made it a her due to them never explaining in the canon, and goes it better with my story. Now please leave Reviews, I will take suggestions for the upcoming Chunin exams I have set up.
