Can you learn to love a savage?
I do not own Twilight in any way. Brielle's power is similar to Renesme's and Aro's. Her power is being able to share her thoughts with one touch.
I was hunting in the woods one day, when I saw vampires running into our territory. I ran to warn Zafrina, Senna, and Kachiri. "Vampires have crossed over boarders", I said.
We met them at the line.
I stood crouched in front of the three leaders.
"Down girl", Zafrina said, "It is only the Cullens".
"Come here my daughter", Kachiri said. Kachiri had always wanted to be a mother and since I was no more than 14, she took me in.
"Zafrina, it's always nice to see you", the leader of the Cullens said.
"This is our newest member Brielle", Zafrina said.
I spotted a boy with them. I touched Kachiri's arm.
"I understand my child", she said, "Who is that young man with you?"
"This is Draven", the leader said.
*Carlisle's Pov*
"Draven", her voice said. Her voice was soft and airy. She was very young to be a vampire.
Draven just looked her.
I could tell that Brielle, relied on her instincts rather than emotions and such.
She had a tea length green leafy dress, with bare feet. She had daises and branches all in her hair and she had bows and arrows slung on her back. Her beauty was astonishing. She was more beautiful than Rosalie and that's really hard to achieve. She wasn't quite as pale as most vampires, her cheeks had some color to them. Her lips were plump and swollen and she looked like she'd just been thoroughly kissed.
"Carlisle", Zafrina said, "Come with us".
Draven walked over to Brielle and slipped his hand in hers.
*Brielle's Pov*
"Carlisle", I said, "May I have permission to take him to my room?"
"Of course my dear", Carlisle said.
I took Draven's hand and led him up the winding staircase to my room.
"Wow, this is so amazing", he said.
"It's not much, but it's my home", I told him.
"I love you", Draven said.
"Can you learn to love a savage?", I asked him.
"Brielle, you're no savage", he said.
"I drink human blood Draven. I'm a monster", I told him.
"You don't have to live like this anymore. Come with me and my family", he said.
"I can't just leave my leaders", I said.
"Yes you can", I heard my mother's voice say, "I only want you to be happy. I know you'll find your way back someday".
Kachiri gathered me in her arms.
I started packing, there wasn't much to pack.
Only a few pictures and belongings.
I left the dress and the flowers and my beloved bows and arrows, which would spend eternity on my bed. I said my goodbyes to my family and joined the Cullens.
If there's one thing I've learned from this experience, is that you may take the girl from the rainforest, but you'll never take the rainforest out of the girl.
There will always be a little savageness left in me.
