I needed a little 3/4 fluff to cure me of my finals week moodiness. Just to note, the italic wording is the story Kuki told her daughter. Anyway, enjoy.

... ... ...

Once upon a time there was a little boy and a little girl. The little boy often got angry at the world and used naughty words, like 'crud.' The little girl was cute and adorable, and loved Rainbow Monkeys.

One day the two met and became super awesome teammates and fought evil villains, and saved the world, their friends, and each other.

Later when the little boy and little girl weren't so little anymore, they fell in love.

The beginning.

"Mommy?" The tiny girl asked the woman gently rocking her in a rocking chair.

"Yes sweetie?"

"Why did you say, 'The beginning'?" The girl asked quietly, "Don't stories end with, 'The end'?"

The mother smiled down at her daughter who had inherited everything from her Asian heritage, except her father's crystal clear green eyes.

"Some do," Kuki answered, "But that story didn't just end there."

"Your mum's right," Wally murmured, surprising both by walking into the room having heard the conversation between mother and child.

"The little boy and little girl both grew up," Kuki said smiling at her husband, and then looking toward their daughter once more.

The child looked at both her parents for a moment and then whispered, "Did they live happily ever after?"

Wally grinned and nodded.

"Yes," Kuki said as she grasped Wally's hand, "They still are."
