Two fair-haired boys crawled through the thick bushes. Both had several scratches on their faces. Their journey had been long, and they were both exhausted and red-cheeked.

"Look! There she is."

Finland finally whispered to Estonia and pointed to the right direction. A pretty girl sat on a bench and enjoyed the sun.

"So, that's her. Hungary", Estonia stated rather than asked, and nodded his head slightly.

"Yes! The Cool Girl! The Great Warrior! The Awesome wife of Austria - not that I identify with that wife part in any way. I hope you didn't think something like that... Well, anyway! She's the one whose language is said to be related with ours", Finland explained excitedly to his friend.

Estonia adjusted his glasses "This is... unbelievable. That must mean that..."

"...must mean that she must have been somewhere close when we two learned to speak!" Finland interrupted him.

"True. Maybe she knows more about us; maybe she holds the key to our history. Maybe she knows where our people came from. Maybe we don't need to listen stupid jokes about having our roots in Mars after this. Have you talked to her yet?"

"Me? I'm just someone's Grand Duchy. She's a real country and has a lot of her own history. Maybe she'll think I'm not worth of her time..." Finland blushed, "maybe you should try to talk to her."

"What?" Estonia glowered at Finland. "Do I have to remind you, that I'm just a province of that certain someone - A Baltic province? I don't even have autonomy! I shouldn't even be here in the first place. I'm so dead if he somehow finds this out." He waved his hands in the air.

"I know, I know! I'm sorry! I'm sure Russia wouldn't be delighted to hear that his Duchy is spying other countries, either. I'm not supposed to have my own foreign policies, haha. I just thought that it would be easier to you to talk with strangers."

"Why? I'm just as shy as... Look! She must've seen us! She's coming this way!"

"Whaaat?"

"Yes! She is certainly coming right towards us. What should we do?" Estonia panicked.

"Maybe... maybe she'll recognize who we are! Yes! She'll remember the time we were just babies. And she'll tell us everything we want to know. I'm sure of it."

"Right, right! Maybe this will go like that. Just remember to be polite. She's a fine lady, after all."

"Hi!" Hungary greeted the boys when she reached them.

Finland and Estonia greeted her nervously back. This was it. From now on, everything she said could change their whole future. They were impatient, and wanted her to continue. And she did so:

"Why are you hiding in the bushes?"

She asked curiously. Suddenly her smile turned into a smirk - like she had suddenly understood something - she crouched down a little bit, and asked excitedly:

"Are you two perhaps a couple?"

And from that day on, Finland and Estonia were sure that they would never find out anything about their past. Not from Hungary, anyway.
