Alex wasn't quite sure how he had lost his memory after the point blanc mission. That did make sense though. If he hadn't lost his memory then he would remember losing his memory wouldn't he? Actually that didn't make much sense.

He had stared up at the vaguely familiar woman with the man's name and wondered why she had called him Alex. He was pretty sure that wasn't his name.

Now that he thought about it what was his name?

Alex followed an instinct to go along with these strangers even though he had no idea what they were talking about.

Alex wasn't quite sure why he never regained his memory.

All of his friends had eventually given up trying to trigger his memory. They eventually resorted to telling him everything he ever needed to know.

Alex stared at the small note on the fridge. He found it funny that instead of just telling him that Jack had gone out and wouldn't be back until late, that the note also told him something he should remember.

'Ian was your uncle but he never liked you calling him uncle. He died in early spring, a few months ago in a 'car accident' He was actually a spy for MI6 and was killed when he was caught.'

The amnesiac wondered why she would mention something as important as that now.

Alex wasn't quite sure why he knew things Tom assured him he shouldn't.

He gazed at the paper that was a notoriously difficult physics test. The smartest kids in the class were lucky to get a 'C'. He had gotten 115%. Why he wondered did he just know things that he definitely should now that he had amnesia.

Alex wasn't quite sure why MI6 had called him after all this time. He was pretty sure it wasn't a mission, after all they had never actually sent him on a mission since Skeleton Key. They'd asked for his help once he'd already gotten caught up in it all sure. So Alex wasn't quire sure why they were calling him now. Perhaps something had come up?

He hated them for telling him. It had been a whole year since he lost his memory. Why did they have to tell him?

Alex wasn't quite sure why they had still let him be Alex. When MI6 had called him in to tell him that he wasn't Alex and that Alex was dead. They had decided that they would just let him be Alex. They reassured him that if he was going to turn against his country than they wouldn't let him stay free.

Alex wasn't quite sure what it was that made him remember. When he did he almost wished he hadn't.

Alex stared at the hole where he had fallen. Crossing to it he gazed down at the body surrounded by flames. Wondering what to do next he climbed down the ladder the firemen had leaned up against the roof. He didn't know why he had become Alex. It just sort of happened. He knew there was no going back. He knew he would eventually have some mistake and be found out. How could he reasonably explain his lack of knowledge? He was missing vital memories. Wait a minute. Missing memory. He could lose him Memory.

Alex wasn't quite sure why he had wasn't to be Alex enough to lose his memory on purpose.
