Candle's Flame

A/N: I haven't written a fanfiction in a while! Not much to say really, But please read!

Prelude

When I was little, my grandpa told me never to play with fire. He said that the closer you got, the more it will hurt. But for some reason, I never believed him. How could something so beautiful hurt you?

I now sit in my room at Alice Academy. Empty halawon boxes scatter across my floor along with unfinished homework and letters to Grandpa. I had a candle lit next to me, strawberry scented I believe. It's flame flickered and melted wax drepped down the side of it. I put down the book I was attempting to study from and watched it, flames dancing and glowing, lightening the small area around it.

Such a bright light.

Such a beautiful light.

"Grandpa! It hurts!" I cried, my hand currently being held under running cold water.

"What'd I tell you about playing with fire? You'll burn yourself!" Grandpa scolded me. He removed my hand from under the running water. The skin was still a dark pink color, but it was hard and callosed now. Grandpa wrapped a bandage around it.

"Now don't do that again, okay?" Grandpa told.

"But it was pretty Grandpa!" I squeled,"It looked so kind from here."

Now looking at that candle, I had to wonder.

What if I hurt fire?

I blew out the candle.

I promise there will be a point so please keep reading and respond!(The next chapter will be longer too!)
