Mark's POV:
I leaned back in my office chair, exhausted. Today had been a tough day. I had to spend hours making videos, barely getting any sleep. The reason for this was because I would be leaving for PAX tomorrow and I wouldn't be able to record any videos. Sean was doing the same. Speaking of Sean, I should probably Skype him and ask how he's doing. He's going to fly down here tomorrow to go with me and the gang to PAX and it would be nice to know if he's all prepared. It will be a long journey for him, after all. I clicked on the Skype icon on my desktop and scrolled through my contacts until I found Sean's name. I double clicked on it and waited.
Tick, tock, tick, tock…
Eventually, Sean answered, looking just as exhausted as me.
"Hey Mark!" He greeted me in his usual loud and energetic tone. It must be hard for him to yell like that all the time. Must hurt his voice. "Whats up?"
"Oh, hey Sean." I replied. "I just wanted to see how you're doing."
"Oh, i'm doing fine, Mark. Just finished my last video as a matter of fact. What about you?"
"Same. So, you ready for PAX?"
"Of course. I'm always ready for PAX."
I was about to make a joke when I heard a noise come from the other room. Sounded like… The window opening?
"Hold on a sec…" I mumbled, getting up and walking out of the room. Sure enough, when I headed into the living room, one of the windows was wide open. Did I leave it open? "Huh… Strange…"
Thinking nothing of it, I shut the window and walked back into my office.
"What was all that about?" Sean asked me as soon as I got back. "Something happen?"
"Nothing." I reassured him. "Just thought I heard something, that's all."
"Okay."
"Hey, what's that!?" I exclaimed, pointing in the corner of the Sean's room on my screen. "Is that anti!?"
"Wha-" Sean exclaimed, spinning his chair around to see an empty corner.
"Hahahahaha!" I burst out laughing.
"Don't fuck with me, Mark!" Jack grunted, spinning his chair back around to face me. "Anyways…"
On Halloween, Jack published a video were anti "Killed him." Of course, it was merely a holiday joke, but it was still really realistic looking. I thought I might as well make a joke out of it.
"Huh?" I tilted my head to the side in confusion, once I had calmed down from laughing of course. "What is it?"
"I have something I want to tell you…" Sean muttered, looking away from the camera. I could have sworn I saw his face turn a little red. "Uhhh…"
"What's wrong, Sean? If you have something to say, spit it out. You can tell me anything, you know."
"I have something VERY important to tell you. But, I want to say it when we're face to face. That okay with you?"
"Of course." I smiled.
I wonder what he was going to tell me.
"Well, i'm off. I need to get some rest." Sean said, waving goodbye. "Bye Markimoo- Uh, I mean, Mark."
"Uhhh… Okay?" I replied, waving goodbye. This wasn't like Sean. He was acting… Weird, I guess you could say. I couldn't really think of any other word to describe the way he was acting. "See ya!"
After Sean hung up, I sat in my chair for a while, thinking intently on what may be the cause of Sean's sudden weird change in behavior. Suddenly, I heard a giggle. A cute, innocent, and sweet giggle. Wait… Someone's in my house!?
"Who's there!?" I ordered, slowly starting to turn around. But, before I could, a piece of cloth was put over my mouth. "Mph!?"
I struggled, but wasn't able to break free. Within a matter of seconds, I passed out due to lack of oxygen. As my eyes started to roll into the back of my head, I caught a quick glimpse of my attacker. Was I seeing things or was it a little girl? Well, I wasn't able to tell whether I was seeing things or not because a split second later I passed out.
