A/N: Hi, it's me, hatredsdeath. w00t my first story! Okay, so here's the gist of it; It's 2007, and the Naruto gang are all, let's say…around the age of 25 or so… Yeah, they're old… It's an A.U. so they're not Ninja's. Kiba finds this girl at a park one night, while walking Akamaru, and takes her home. What happens after that is undetermined. Please tell me what you think of it! If you haven't already guessed, it's a KibaOC. Much love, HATREDSDEATH. 3

Oh, and Kiba and all of the Naruto characters don't belong to me. I wish they did, but they don't.

Chapter One: Of Goodbyes and Hellos.

"WELL YOU KNOW WHAT I THINK? I THINK YOU SHOULD TAKE YOUR FUCKING STUFF AND LEAVE! NOW!" she screamed at the man standing in front of her. Not the smartest thing to do.

"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST SAY? ARE YOU BREAKING UP WITH ME? NO ONE BREAKS UP WITH ME! I BREAK UP WITH THEM. NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!" he yelled back at her. Then he hit her. He just lifted his hand and slammed it across her face, sending her spiraling on the ground. She looked up at him, shocked and now slightly frightened. She never thought that he would go as far as to strike her.

"Damn you. Damn you and all your kind!" she whispered. Then she got up and ran through the front door of the tiny apartment, slamming it shut behind her. She ran down a flight of stairs and out of the complex, not once looking back. She didn't care if she left all of her belongings there. She wasn't going back to that hell hole called home. Never again would she want to step in a five mile radius of that building…ever.

After what seemed like hours upon hours of running, Kaede slowed her pace, and finally, upon arriving at a long park bench sat down. She brought her knees up to her chest and hugged them. She was tired, cold, and here cheek still stung from where her fiancé had hit her. She looked down at the silver engagement ring she was wearing, and that's when she started to cry. She cried until she couldn't cry anymore. She looked back down at her ring one last time, and then ripped it off and threw it in a nearby trashcan. She stood up and straitened her now wrinkled button up blouse and walked away, well started to anyway, until she fell to the ground.

"Are you okay?" a soft and gentle, not to mention masculine, voice asked.

"No, I'm not." Kaede replied, looking up to see a disheveled self looking back. 'His eyes are so beautiful' she found herself thinking.

"What's wrong?" the man asked, looking genuinely concerned for Kaede's welfare. She turned her head so that the red mark was facing the man. He stifled a gasp and ran a finger lightly over the hand imprinted on her face. She cringed, and he pulled his hand away.

"Why don't you come home with me. My sister's a doctor, she can take a look at your face," he said smiling slightly, "Akamaru, come on. Let's show this pretty young lady to our house." That's when Kaede noticed the leash in his hands…presumably what she tripped over.

A small dog came prancing up to the man and started jumping around. 'Must be Akamaru…cute.' Kaede thought.

"By the way, my name's Kiba. Pleased to meet you miss…" the man, now known as Kiba said.

"Oh," 'oops, I forgot to tell him my name…' "it's Kaede. Pleased to meet you too," Kaede replied.
