More then Business
By LilyChan

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.

Some people think that being a pirate is just fun and games. Aye, children are a symbol of innocence. It's the ignorance that a pirate has to endure whilst trying to make business is indeed an irritating task. Sure, it's every man for themselves. Sure, we all have to be steps ahead of not only your enemy but yourself as well.

In a sense, Benett was a pirate in spite of himself. After all, the King of England helped them to have their shoe polish to the powder on their wigs. The King himself would be proud of what his dear privateer is doing on the warm seas of the New World. I can't say much about some other privateers, for I'm no longer in the business. They, however, find pleasure in absorbing more and more power as well as control.

They often forget the calling of the seas. Aye, treasure, food, and salty wenches who would throw themselves at my feet by the sound of my name, figuratively speaking, are always nice 'benefits', if you will, to being a pirate. I won't ever admit it, but I've always had my favorite one. Let's just say she's close really close to my heart, if I ever had one. All I'm saying while I have no regrets of my past, just hope that these bumbling pathetic excuse for pirates could understand that as long as you have the love and spirit of the sea, you needn't nothing else.

These new pirate lords, as they 'originally' call themselves, don't understand the first thing about being a pirate lord. But what do I know? I'm just an aging pirate whose name is rather feared all across the oceans and lands. I do wonder if they ran out of gold, what would they do? Would they become a king's dog? Or would they stay true to their morals, if they had any?

If I had any trust in these old bones, I would trust my son, Jack Sparrow, to make the smart choice, instead of the foolish choice of wanting to become immortal. If you follow the code, and follow no one else's rules but your own, you will become an immortal. Just by having people receive your name through their lips throughout history forever.

Yo, ho, haul together,
Hoist the colors high.
Heave ho,
Thieves and beggars,
Never shall we die.
