Disclaimer: I do not own anything dealing with Harry Potter and I never will. And the song I based this on is from "Into The Woods" the play.

A/N: Okay, I was looking through a bunch of lyrics online and I got inspired by the song "No One Is Alone". So the lyrics aren't in here, but this little tidbit of a story is based off of that song. Alrighty then?

No One Is Alone…

Albus stood there, staring at the raising sun. This was the time he loved the most, when he could simply watch the start of a new day. He closed his eyes and simply relished in the sweet scent of the now dew-laden blades of grass. The sun was just peeking over the hills surrounding the small cottage where he resided. The birds chirped as the woke up and began to flutter their wings in an attempt to wake themselves up. In the distance, a doe could be seen nibbling and nipping at the ground. Albus smiled even broader as he felt the twinkle appear in his eyes. This was home.

He thought back to all that had transpired. Although the war was far from over, Albus could not help but feel somewhat happy for this short reprieve they were sure to receive. Harry Potter had survived, despite the tragic death of his parents. He was to now live with his aunt, uncle, and cousin, the Dursleys. Everything was quiet…. For the moment.

Albus sighed sadly and scratched the back of his head. Was it so wrong of him to feel as light-hearted as he did? He knew dark times lay ahead. He knew people would die and sacrifices must be made. He knew that tears and blood would be shed, and pure bloods and mixed breeds alike would die. He knew all of this. He was not naive enough to think otherwise.

And yet… And yet he also knew that he was one of the few lucky ones who would not need to go through this entire thing alone. He had friends who loved and cared about him. He had the Order. He even had Aberforth, despite their rocky past. And he even had… her.

He smiled as he felt a small hand run up his back and to his shoulder. Without even looking over, he wrapped his arm around his wife of many years.

"What are you thinking about?" she asked sleepily. She rested her head against his shoulder as he rubbed her left arm. He kissed her head while staring at the sunrise.

"The coming war… Harry Potter… Everything…" He finally looked down at the top of her head and smiled. She was still in her nightwear and her hair was rumpled. She had not brushed it yet. She must have woken up and come out looking for him, not bothering with brushing her hair. "And you." She smiled and looked up at him. Green eyes met blue ones.

"Me?" she half chuckled. "That seems to be a common thought with you. One would have thought you would grow weary of thinking of me all the time." Albus shook his head, his smile never leaving his face.

"Never, my love, never," he replied. He kissed her lips and she gladly kissed him back. When they parted, he traced her lips with the fingers on his free hand. "I am just so glad I do not need to face this war alone." She smiled in response.

"No on is alone, truly," she replied. "Not even you."

A/N2: Okay then. All done. You likeh? Hehehe. Short nothingness to appease you guys until I can figure something else out. K? Read long and prosper. Always Hopeful
