Evil: This is my first song fic, featuring Kirra.
Kirra: The song is called 'Concrete Angel.'
Both: If you are re a victim of child abuse or know someone who is and live in Australia call 1-800-4-A-CHILD.
Kirra walks to the academy with her gourd and her pack. She watches as the other students kiss their parents goodbye, causing her to scowl at them.
"You think you're so great." she says to no-one in particular. She continues her journey, wincing at the pain running through her.
She walks to school with the lunch she packed,
nobody knows, what she holding back,
wearing the same dress she wore yesterday,
she hides the bruises with the linen and lace.
As she sits down in class next to her best friend Shino, the sleeves of her shirt slide up her arms slightly, showing both old and fresh bruises. Kurenai sees them but decides that it isn't her business. Shino had tried, but failed, in getting his parents to call child services.
The teacher wonders but she doesn't ask,
its hard to see the pain behind the mask,
bearing the burden of a secret storm,
sometimes she wishes she was never born.
As Kirra walks home, it starts to pour, but she doesn't notice. She just keeps on walking, praying that her father had not been to the pub.
Through the wind and the rain,
She stands hard as a stone,
in a world that she can't rise above.
But her dreams give her wings,
and she flies to a place,
where she's loved
Concrete angel
As soon as she walks through the door, her father slaps her across the face. He continues to beat her until she doesn't get up. The next door neighbour closes her blinds and ignores the cries. somebody cries in the middle of the night,
the neighbours hear but they turn out the lights,
a fragile soul caught in the hands of fate,
when morning comes it will be too late.
The next morning, Shino walks past Kirra's house. He sees the police and an ambulance. The police walk out the front door with Kirra's father in handcuffs. Shino knows that it is too late.
Through the wind and the rain, a statue stands in a shaded place,
She stands hard as a stone,
in a world that she can't rise above.
But her dreams give her wings,
and she flies to a place,
where she's loved
Concrete angelThe school holds a small funeral for Kirra. Shino, Kiba and Hinata attend as do Kurenai and Tsunade. The grave has a small angel girl looking at the sky. They all feel horrible for not being able to help her.
an angel girl with an upturned face,
her name is written on a polished rock,
a broken heart that the world forgot
Shino is the last to leave. He turns back to the grave one last time only to find Kirra, smiling at him.
"Thank you Shino." she says, then turns around and runs off to play with other ghostly children.
Through the wind and the rain, But her dreams give her wings, Concrete angel

in a world that she can't rise above.
