Author's note: I do not owe the TV & book series So Little Time, but hey,
some of the new characters I created belong to me ^-^"
Chapter One
"Oh my god, you look gorgeous!" Chloe cried as she stared at her sister, Riley, in utter envy.
Riley grinned as she spun around in her new sparkling red dress. "You too."
It was Christmas. The weather was extremely cold, and windows were partially covered with loads of snow, piles of thick snow capping the house roof. The girls were celebrating the special day with their family, of course, and Manuelo had cooked up a scrumptious feast for everyone. The sisters couldn't wait to start on the feast, especially the roasted turkey that was sitting on the middle of the huge dining table, or rather, waiting.
The Carlsons' house was decorated with beautiful Christmas accessories. Their cousins and relatives would be arriving soon, so the sisters were panicking with their dress-up. Mrs and Mr Carlson were in the hall, busying themselves with wrapping up their last minute presents. They were on the finishing bit.
"Riley, you know, I've always wanted to experience someone else's life. Taste some different, that's what I wanted to do," Chloe told her in a soft voice when both of them walked into the kitchen to check out what Manuelo was doing.
Riley giggled. "That's kinda cool."
"Yep. well I would make a wish to be someone else for just a moment."
Riley looked at her in disbelief. "Well, you think that will come true?"
"Most unlikely. But hey, for the sake of fun."
Both of them chuckled.
Manuelo turned around, a blue apron tied around his waist. "Oh hello sweet hearts!" he exclaimed pleasantly, holding a spoon in a hand. "What cha' doing in the kitchen? You should be getting ready for the guests to come."
"Manuelo, we're waiting for them to come." Riley snapped. "We have made every effort to look pretty tonight."
"Oh yes, you two do look amazing," Manuelo grinned as he tested the food on the counter.
"Can we try the food?" Chloe asked, hoping that she could taste the food.
"No, darlings. I afraid you can't stop asking for more once you put them in your mouth," Manuelo teased.
"Oh well, we'll wait for the people to come in the hall then," Chloe said, half shrugging. Both Riley and Chloe trudged their way through the door, feeling pretty bored. "Did he send you a message?" Riley asked, lifting her eyebrows.
"You mean Frankie? Well, he did. He is celebrating Christmas with his family as wel- AH!" she cried as she tripped over something and fell.
"Oh god!" Riley quickly held her up. "What did you -?"
"Right, it's this," she held up a squashed brownie.
"Gross."
"MANUELO!!!"
