Ok, I did this for class a few weeks ago... It had to be short and junk so that explains that.
This basically is what Persephone was thinking when she was taken to the Underworld. This version is where she hates it... I have heard 2 versions. One where she hates it, and one where she actually loves Hades. I like the love one better, but I didnt hear that one till it was too late. So, without further ado, Persephone's Tale
When i was a young maiden, i was taken. From my mother, my friends... Everyone i loved. Wouldn't you know it, it was my uncle, Hades. He and my father, Zeus, planned it all. But i barely knew my father, so i didn't care much.
But... My uncle took me down to the underworld, away from my mother, Demeter. I... I never even got to say goodbye. Of course, my mother searched for me. Searched all the earth, disguised as a mortal woman as she searched. As she searched she forbade anything to grow.
Eventually, Zeus decided enough was enough. He went to Hades, and commanded that i would be released. Well, as long as i never ate anything. And of course... When he heard this, he made me eat 7 pomegranate seeds! They were disgusting... Anyway, i ate the seeds.
That made my mother even more upset. So, Zeus made a deal. For 7 months, i would stay in the underworld. For the rest of the time, i could be with my mother. And whenever i was in the underworld, my mother was so sad that everything died. Mortals decided that would be winter. And when i came back, she was happy, so it was summer. And so, this continued for thousands of years. For all eternity.
