Lonnie was surprised Ava was upset at Zan's death. She assumed the shorter woman would be thrilled to have him out of her life. Apparently, she picked one of those days Ava decided she loved Zan more then anything else in the world. Normally the rainbowed hair alien hated Zan for constantly being with other women. She had days where she would play the adoring wife but more then half the time she avoided him and his bed.

He tried to own her, he tried to own everyone. Lonnie saw that, she made Rath see it too but could never convince Ava that was the truth. She was hoping the dupe of her brother would be different but she was wrong, he was to fucking stubborn to see how he really treated others. He was the king, of a planet far, far away from the one they actually lived on. Zan knew this but acted like he was the king of fucking everything, the subway, the sidewalk, the whole city including its people.

Knowing this Lonnie assumed Zan would be thrilled at the possibility of going home where he actually was the king. He wouldn't have to pretend to rule the world he actually could. Then again, Lonnie knew that wouldn't happen. She remembered some of home, mostly how and why they were sent to Earth. Despite this knowledge she hoped, almost prayed Zan would be stupid enough to fall for the trap.

Her brother wasn't as stupid as she suspected, so she had to convince Rath into killing him. She wanted to go home, she didn't care who she had to kill to get there, she wanted a life like the one she dreamed about every night. That's why she was on her way to Roswell. Home of the aliens, the other aliens. Once there, she'd collect this other Zan and make sure she was on the path home, no matter what.
