Blake's Reveal

Yang lays in her bed morosely staring out of the window wondering what will happen next. As she lays there with her right arm missing and the stub in bandages tears roll down her face as she thinks she will never be useful again. She thinks that she made a grave mistake. Yang hears voices in the house, yet she hears a different voice this time. Someone's voice she hasn't heard in months. Yang rolls over facing the window ignoring the voices.

There is a soft knock on her door, but no footsteps.

"What do you want, Blake?" Yang says in disgust. Blake approaches her softly not to upset her.

"I'm… I'm sorry. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you when you needed me. I… I shouldn't have run away like I did. I'm sorry Yang" Blake calmly tells her holding back tears.

Yang tells her in a quiet voice "Well you still did. You didn't even stay to say good bye to Ruby".

"I know. What I did wasn't right. I know I was wrong to run away like that. I know. I know I run away from my problems. I know what I did was wrong and I'm sorry! I'm here now though. I want to be here with you. Ah for you" Blake says quickly with a stuttering voice.

"Why should I care?" Yang mumbles.

"You were there for me", Blake explains to Yang "when I needed you to tell me to take it easy back when I was obsessed with taking down Torchwick. When I wasn't sleeping for a whole week searching for him you are the one who came to me and told me what happened to you and Ruby when you were kids. You convinced me to not give, ever". Blake pulls out the ribbon in her hair. It gently falls to ground exposing her cat ears.

"It was you who made me feel proud to be Faunus. It you who let me be myself" Blake tells her.

Yang quickly thrusts around sitting up in her bed staring Blake dead in the eyes. "It's a bit different with me Blake! I lost my arm! He cut it off! I can't exactly do much with one arm!" Yang shouts at Blake. Blake has her eye wide open staring at what is left of Yang's arm. "Don't stare at it!" Yang yells.

Blake gets red and looks down at the floor. Suddenly she is embarrassed and feeling hot. Blake holds her arms at her chest trying to hold onto her emotions. She knows she can't be emotional right now. Yang is already going through so much.

Yang calmly tells her "You should leave. Just leave me alone". Yang looks out the window.

Blake quietly whispers "but I love you".

"What?"

"What?!"

"What did you just say?" Yang asks her. Blake puts her hand over her mouth and her eyes shift.

"Did you just say you love me?" Yang says with a smile. Yang realizes this is the first time she has smiled in months.

"I… I… I'm in love with you Yang!" Blake yells. She starts to lean forward, but takes a step back ready to run out the door.

"I never knew you liked… girls" Yang calmly says.

"I didn't know before. Then you let me be myself. I got to open up with you. I finally exposed who I really am. A Faunus. And you loved me for that".

"And a lesbian." Yang adds.

"Yes and a lesbian. I finally get to be myself with you and I run. Who does that? I finally get feelings for you and I run all the way back to Beacon" Blake tries to explain her feelings toward Yang, but she starts to cry. Blake holds herself crying in front of Yang not knowing what to do with herself.

"You know. I like girls too. You're not alone".

Yang holds out her hand.

"Come here. Lay with me?" Yang kindly asks her. Blake takes her hand softly laying on Yang's bed cuddled up with her. Yang has her arm around Blake's soft slender body with her head softly resting in Yang's lap. Yang looks down at Blake's head. "I love you too". Blake's cat ears perk up and she begins to purr. Yang chuckles.
