I don't have enough time to write an actual story for Easter. I'm working on two other projects right now, and I have no inspiration for anything else. This is short and super fluffy, and was originally all dialog. I wrote the rest a few minutes ago. OOC warning is in place, so be warned. And it's rated T so I don't ruin any little kids' hopes and dreams...^^; I doubt young kids read any of this, but I want to be safe, ya know?

DISCLAIMER: I'm DISclaiming, right? You fill in the blanks.

It was a rainy spring day, and a little boy was in his apartment reading a book. He sat cross-legged on the older couch, all comfy and snuggled up. Next to him was a spirit-like teen that was watching the black-and-white TV with slight interest. After a little while, the little one lifted his head and turned towards the other.

"...'Kura?"

The crimson-eyed thief looked away from his show and let his gaze rest on the elementary student. "What is it, Light?" he asked gruffly, but not completely unkind.

A shy looked crossed the young one's face. "I have a question."

"Go ahead." The albino shrugged, slightly curious to the hikari's question.

Ryou looked at Bakura hopefully, and took a deep breath. "Well, Easter's coming up, and every year the Easter Bunny comes and give me chocolate and stuff. But some big kids at school said that the Easter Bunny isn't real, and it's only our mommies and daddies that give us the presents. Is that true? 'Cause if it is, I won't get anything this year, 'cause Daddy's in Egypt..." Little tears welled up in the six-year-old's eyes.

"Hey, listen don't cry. They...don't know anything." The spirit didn't like his host to cry. It was such a weak emotion, and it never solved anything. Besides, he had no idea what the other was talking about, so he just lied.

"So, he's real?" A bright look of joy shined in his brown eyes as he grinned happily.

Bakura blinked, then answered with as much enthusiasm as he could muster (which wasn't a whole lot, but knowing the yami, it was pretty remarkable). "...Sure. I mean, of course he's real!"

"Yippee!" Ryou squealed, jumping up and down in his seat. "Thanks so much, 'Kura."

A long silence fell upon the apartment as the little hikari hugged his yami tightly, burying his head in the older man's chest. This earned an annoyed looked (which Ryou couldn't see) from the albino, but his eyes betrayed his act.

"I love you, Yami," the little boy giggled, still hugging him.

A short pause followed.

"...I love you too."

He said the unthinkable words.

On Easter morning, as a little Ryou was tuck comfortably in bed, a series of footsteps could be heard in the next room. A tall, thin figure dressed in a bunny costume was putting a basket by the old couch. The costume was baggy and very itchy, or so it would seem. The ears were bent to the side, giving the person a comical look.

Then, a loud sigh came from the figure. "Why me?" The voice sounded oddly like an ancient tomb robber.

After he set the basket up all nicely, he ripped off the bunny head with a satisfied grunt. He shook his long hair out, and revealed it was indeed the spirit of the Ring. He looked uncomfortable but slightly content, if that was possible.

"The little runt's lucky he's so cute."
