The Hero's Daughter
Prologue: A Dark Beginning
All of the stories of this world started in the shadows. Salyon was born in the shadows. Stretkay escaped from the man to whom he was a slave in a shadow. This story however starts in kidnap. The kidnap of a baby girl whose name is a curse to all of the evil of this world. Her name was, no, is Crystal.
Crystal's parent's names were loved, hated and feared where ever there was something to utter them. Even though at the time they had not met. Most of the time they say love at first sight. In this case however, when Chris's parents met, it was love at first fight. They both fought for the side they believed to be good. Chris's mother, Cristina, was an assassin sent to kill the king. Crystal's father, Akane, was the king's bodyguard. The fight ended in a draw due to the fact they were both holding back. As for who was right on who was good, they were both wrong. But enofth of that. When the couple wed, all emotion shown by the public grew. Especially hatred. Three years after the marriage they proclaimed the birth of a baby girl. The haters banded together to make a plan.
It was a dark, stormy night three months later they struck. Crystal's parents tucked her into bed and kissed her good night unaware of what was to come. They watched the three month old baby girl snuggle deep into the sheets and her green eyes flutter shut. They smiled and walked from the room. They returned to their own room across the castle. Just as they settled into bed they heard a loud crash coming from their daughter's room. Both Tina and Akane were on their feet and had their swords in an instant. Maybe, just maybe if they had run faster or not slowed to yell orders at the guards, they would have made it in time.
But they didn't. When they burst though the door, all they found was the crib and baby toys scattered about among the glass. There were drops of blood all the way from the crib to the window. Their daughter, their only child was gone. Not to be seen again in this world for many years to come. For her kidnappers had taken her to the world you know as Earth.
