TURKS office.
Shinra High School.

As much as she hated it, being a "counselor" had its perks. For instance, you have access to every student's profiles and records. "And which woman doesn't like to know everything about everyone?" the blonde woman smirks. Plus, the paycheck was great and she had an excellent memory to keep track of the most important targets in the "school". As much as she grew tired of the ol' "prestigious school" façade, she had to admit it was certainly interesting to see the student's development.
And well, she couldn't deny the joy that being with her partner produced on her.
Especially when said partner was a total eye candy. At least for her.
"I guess it's that time of the year again, huh?" the woman smiled softly, a hint of sultriness hidden in her voice. She stood behind him, arms crossed, as he looked out of the window with melancholic eyes.
"This year won't be like the others Elena. I feel…nervous"
To say that Elena's stomach did a somersault when he suddenly pronounced those words was an understatement. Him? Nervous? If he said he was nervous, then he must be serious. She was aware that out of the four, he was the mastermind. Him being nervous was unsettling for her.
"But, why nervous, Tseng?"
"Didn't you read the mission file? They are asking us to kill the target! To kill the person I've watched and protected all this years! I was sure they asked me to do so in order to get it to cooperate with us, not to a slow, brutal murder involving pain, torture, sadness and many other terrible things… I can't even imagine what Hojo might do to…"
"You care too much for our target" Elena interrupted, slightly annoyed and perhaps a little jealous for the sudden confession of the dark-haired Turk. "You know very what we do. It was obvious we'd kill or disappear it, sooner or later"
"Just like Vincent?" Tseng curtly replied, leaving his spot in front of the window, heading for the exit.
"We had no choice" Now Elena was the desperate one.
"You had a choice"
Beep Beep
The Turk halted in front of the door.
"Yes? Rude, what is it?"
"Check the recent files in the school's data base. Quick!" the bulky Turk yelled before hanging up.
"Oh my god, Tseng, you've got to see this!"
The blonde Turk moved a little to show the screen, revealing an eerily familiar face.
"He looks the same as him, he even has the same name and everything and dear god this must be a horrible joke because he can't possibly be alive!"
Crimson eyes stared intently from the screen, as if mocking the female Turk who was watching the file with a horrified expression. He looked like her worst nightmare.
He looked like a ghost, ready to jump out of the screen and get his vendetta against her.
He looked the same way as she did that night, when she was asked to give him the coup of grace and end with his existence once and for all, to execute the traitor of the Turk group.
After all, Turks never forgot that look.
He looked like a killer.
