She decided long ago she was going to go to Hogwarts. Muggle schools had always seemed so boring and the students were so much more un-attractive. She would never go to an all girl's school, no, that would most certainly not be fun. And as much as she would love to try, an all boy's school would just not be an option.
No, she had very much decided on Hogwarts.
Now a name, of course she couldn't just turn up with her real name. No, that would be ridiculous. For one everyone would laugh and/or think she was strange and two it went against all rules they had about joining the real world. She'd used many a name on her adventures, but all had been so long ago and all names she had used were so old fashioned. No one would be interested in a girl named Astarte, even Dione, her mother's name, wouldn't work in these times. She needed something new, yet old, relevant but interesting. A normal name like "Amy" or "Hannah" just wouldn't suffice, wouldn't have the impact that she wanted.
Helena. That would be it. Helen had been the most beautiful woman in the world once. Why not imitate that? Yes, Helena would work nicely.
Now for looks, she could take on the appearance of anyone she wished. Blonde, brunette? No, redhead. She had been blonde for centuries, time for a change. Her hair would be the colour of a bare flame, with a wave to it, a sweeping front that resembled a 50s muggle movie star would create an impact. And green eyes, the colour of leaves in spring. Pale skin that almost glows. Wide eyes, straight nose and pouting lips. Next a curvaceous body that developed early, if you catch my drift. Even as a wizard people would think she to be as beautiful as a god. And how right they would be.
Her entire family thought she was ridiculous, the world was geared for war and not even they knew the outcome. Taking sides in war was something they had done in centuries; she had even been one of them to show a bias. But now it was not favouritism but sheer boredom that led her to the school. Bored of watching, bored of the monogamy that was her life.
She would have to journey to the school herself, being in the middle of the year. An interesting pet always was good to catch a few peoples attentions. Magic would be a challenge, she hadn't practiced it in years, maybe she'd need some pointers from her sister. But it would come back to her, Merlin had been a descendant of her brother, even if he hadn't known it. She herself had given birth to Salazar Slytherin. But that was a close guarded secret that not even her family had known.
She was finally ready for Hogwarts.
