Pain. Adrenalin. Tears. Laughter, and a pregnancy.
Pain.
She would never have what she wanted. Never. She could hardly breathe and the doctor's words just wouldn't sink in. Sam stood there and watched Emily as the doctor told them the news. It hurt but he knew what she was going through was worse.
Adrenalin.
The rush she felt when she found out, nothing could compare. Nothing. She felt as if she was flying, her mind blank and empty except for one word. Leah did what she did best and ran, ran through the trees the word still echoing in her thoughts.
Tears.
When it finally registered that nothing could change it, tears ran down her scarred face. He stood in front of her with the words "I'm sorry" painted on his lips, along with the lie "it'll be okay". It wouldn't be okay. Her tears were ones of sorrow, heartbreak and pain. Emily cried tears of loss. The loss of something she never had.
Laughter.
Leah was in the woods and she laughed. Laughed until it hurt yet still she didn't stop. Finally she contained it but couldn't find it in herself to stop the small giggles that still escaped. It finally happened to her, something that she thought was impossible. Now it was simply a seed but it would grow and it signalled the beginning. The beginning of hope, a new life and love.
..A pregnancy.
Leah Clearwater was pregnant. Jacob Black was going to be a father. The news excited everyone due to the fact that it was believed she could never have children.
She found out not long after that Emily Young, soon to be Uley, was told she was infertile and there was no amount of treatment that could change it. It was wrong but Leah felt a sort of sick satisfaction. Every wolf in La Push grieved for the couple's loss and feared for their own. Imprinting was proven wrong and no one knew how to deal with it.
Leah deserves to be happy!
