Finding Yourself
Like any young witch, Hermione once adored House Elves' big eyes and bat-like ears. She condemned their fate of being bound to a life of servility.
But she might never have done anything about it, had it not been for Winky. Having to stand by and watch as Barty Crouch treated his elf so cruelly, never even considering that she might have feelings too, broke Hermione's heart.
It was then that she vowed to stop being a wallflower and start being a Gryffindor. To stop being known as "the clever one" and start standing up for what she believed in.
