Tintin fanfiction
There he goes again. The people watch him, his blue shirt, red pants, yellow hair. His little white dog follows him. He goes on adventures, the people tell any new faces. He's a famous reporter. He acts like a detective.
But where did he come from? The new faces ask. No one can answer, so they shrug and turn away.
Tintin. What an odd name. Is it his first, middle, or last? People wonder as they see the small man walk by, laughing with his friend, Captain Haddock. Was his name once Timothy? That could be shortened to Tin. Was his last name Tinker?
Where did he get that dog? Old woman ask one another, eyeing the boy from their porch as Tintin patently listens to Professor Cuthbert. The old women rock back and forth in the creaking rocking chairs. It's so well behaved and loyal. It's smarter than it looks, and seems to know what his master wants.
Who are his parents? Men ask each other, looking over the tops of their newspapers. What were they like? Does he ever talk to them? Did he have siblings? Why did he leave them? They say he first started the business at the age of seventeen. Why did he leave?
He's so brave. Children laugh, pausing in their games to watch Tintin waving to the Thomson Brothers. They say he did marvelous things on the moon. They say he sail in shark infested waters, and saw a Yeti in Tibet. Where did he learn to be brave like that?
He so young, but has done so much. Woman hanging up the wash whisper to one another, seeing the man in question go by to the market. He's only in his twenties, but has been almost around the globe. What made him want to travel so much?
The boy in blue knows he is a mystery. Sometimes he smiles too sadly. Sometimes he doesn't go to certain places. Sometimes he doesn't say certain names. But who would really want to know, really? So the young man lets the people talk. Talk cannot harm him. After all, he's Tintin, the daring reporter. He has the life, the friends he wants. He has Snowy, a good job, a good life.
That's all he needs.
