Kaj, here's the other part of your b-day present. I changed my mind about doing you a songfic, though I might still do one also.
This is a piece centering around Tess, a character I feel doesn't get enough recognition. It starts out just before the JTHM series begins, and follows Tess's life from thereon, or at least till a little while after the series is over. In a way, this is me giving Tess my version of her own comic series. Sad, isn't it. It includes all of the things that happen to Tess in the series, but mostly it's different. I haven't seen anything about Tess so far, so I decided to do one.
The first chapter is from Tess's POV, and is pretty short. It's just an entry type thing that helps the beginning of the story go a little smoother. I don't know Tess's real last name, so I made it up.
Parts of the fic will switch to Tess's POV on and off, quite randomly. I ask you to forgive that. In fact, MOST of it may be in her POV. You'll be able to tell. I may not work on this for a long time after the first chapter, since I have a short attention span for fics. But eventually I will awaken and it will be completed.
