Author's Note
Well, I decided to post my little tribute to Snowkit here. This really isn't more than a little oneshot describing Snowkit's death. Sad, I know, but I wanted to post it. So try to enjoy!
Note: This is told from Snowkit's point of view.
Disclaimer: I own virtually nothing here.
The Death of Snowkit
I watched as the other Clan cats pulled away from the center of the camp, taking cover beneath the fire-burnt fern wall. I wondered why they were hiding, but no cat seemed to be calling me. I went on playing.
I heard muffled voices, no different from what I always heard. All the cats were looking up at the sky, completely ignoring me, so I tried to call out, "Look at me!"
Almost as soon as the muddled words had left my mouth, I felt sharp claws sink into my back. Only they weren't claws.
They were talons.
I screamed as the hawk rose up into the air. I saw Fireheart running towards me, but my mother, Speckletail, was faster. She jumped up, her claws catching in my fur.
The hawk let go of me with one of its feet and raked its talons across my mother's face. I saw blood fly as she lost her grip and tumbled to the ground. Without her weight, the hawk easily soared away.
I cried and screamed until I lost my voice. The ground rushed by beneath me. The view scared me so much that I still can't find words to describe it.
I shut my eyes, feeling the wind rush around me. I didn't open them again until I felt the hawk slow down. But by then, it was too late.
The hawk swung me forward, smashing me into a cliff face. Small points of light appeared in my vision before it shattered completely.
And that was the last time I was ever in the living word.

Sniff… sniff…
Now I am all sad. We love you and miss you, Snowkit, and we hope that StarClan has made you a warrior!
Anyway, I guess I need to ask you to review. I will lose the will to write fanfiction if I am not encouraged and praised!
Farewell!
