Bella

We were in the lunchroom. I had just gotten off being grounded from Charlie. Alice was talking animatedly to Angela and Jessica about plans for a night out with all of us. From my observations, both Angela and Jessica was doing quite a good job keeping up with Alice. While Angela was talking, Alice's eyes suddenly went glassy. I knew that look. She was having a vision.

Alice was gripping the table so tightly, that I thought it would snap clean-cut in half. Angela also noticed Alice's expression and was waving a hand back and forth in front of her face.

"Alice? Alice? Earth to Alice Cullen!" She was saying repeatedly. Her vision finally ended.

"No!" She gasped abruptly. Angela, Jessica, Mike and Ben jumped in their seat. I forgot them for a moment. I let out a gasp.

"Alice? What is it? What did you see?" I demanded. She was still in a trance.

"No. I didn't see. I couldn't tell. The Volturi. They're coming. Less than five minutes. They wanted to surprise us. They're checking to see if you're still human." She said quickly, panicked.

Jessica and Angela spoke up.

"What? Are you guys alright? Is this some kind of sick joke?" They asked at the same time.

Alice then snapped out of it. She ignored them both.

"Edward. You'll have to take Bella. Hide her somewhere safe. If they find out she's still human, they'll either force you to change her on the spot or kill her themselves. Go. Now. You'll have to hurry." She said frantically.

Jessica, Mike, Angela and Ben were now looking terrified.

"Okay, guys. You all succeeded. we're all completely freaked out. Drop it now please." Angela pleaded.

I looked at her. "It's not a joke Angela." I said in a monotone. I was shocked.

Edward was furious. "How come you didn't see this earlier Alice? You're a psychic for God's sake! You didn't think you could have seen it and told us earlier?" He growled. A real, guttural growl. That was all it took. Alice snapped. This wasn't the bubbly, hyper and always excited pixie that my friends knew.

"You already have me keeping an eye out for Victoria, looking out for Charlie, for Angela, Jessica, Ben and Mike and all of Bella's friends to see any potential danger in their future! I was bound to slip somehow! Did you want to add me looking out for the entire population of Forks too?" Alice hissed.

Jessica, Angela, Ben and Mike were now watching us with wide eyes. Particularly Edward and Alice.

"Guys! Don't start this now!" Jasper said, projecting waves of calm to the two, who were now staring heatedly at each other.

When they finally calmed down, my friends were silent. Even Jessica was.

The P.A. system suddenly crackled to life.

All students please report to the parking lot immediately. No questions are to be asked."

"They're here. They're looking for Bella." Alice announced.
