Soul's Keys

The keys were cold where his fingers lay upon them, his long lonely fingers that weren't going to play again but, for some odd reason or another decided they were going to play. The black piano with a matching black cushioned seat placed right in front of him, it was just lying in the dark, lonely… Lonely like he was. He had wandered away from the party the crowded noisy room wasn't to his liking. The fancy outfits and gorgeous ball roam just wasn't him. His black suit with thin white stripes and his crimson tie that he wore seamed to help him hide in the darkness, it scared people. The creepy guy with the bloody red eyes and sharp pearl teeth his dark suit just helped emphasize that ,it seemed to make them uncomfortable so he just walked out and wandered, till he discovered the fine piano in front of him. Now here he was slamming the keys, the music poured out so naturally like he had only stopped playing days ago. But, no he had stopped years ago, stopped being compared to that other person. He know he could be someone other than a shadow he knew it the moment he discovered he could be something other than a musician. He had a purpose and that itself, trilled him. The notes came out dark and wild as the tempo speed to an insane pace. He heard a slow tapping of gentle feet over the music coming cautiously towards his playing. When the footsteps seceded as did his song. He spun around to see a strong hearted girl standing before him. Her dirty blonde hair was up in two curled pig tails, she wore a black dress with frills on the bottom and the neck line. She stood with a dazed grin on her face making her cheeks glow. Her jade eyes pierced straight into his almost through his. He grinned revealing his jagged teeth

"This is who I am." Was all he said as he spun back around. Placing those long fingers back on the keys, that suddenly felt less lonely, each finger trusted onto the key letting out an eerie echo throughout the room. She didn't flinch or take a step back she just continued to stand there her mossy eye locked on him. The melody filled the room a twisted song that entered her heart "this is who I am" she though. She could feel his personally in the tone his laziness, his loyalty, his loneliness, and his pain. As the tone continued she got to know him and she could relate to him with her own pain

She hasn't left yet He thought. Blessing whatever god was out there that she hadn't. Most would have left but she stayed her presents fueled his playing. As the notes lingered on their souls began to go join at that moment he stopped, lifted his tired fingers from the keys and spun back around to the auburn haired girl. Without a word they shook each other's hands with a thrilled sneer on their faces.
