2 days:

Thursday:

Once again Makino Tsukushi was upset. Very upset. And like always is he the reason for her emotional chaos.

Once again she had caught herself. While gaping at him. While admiring him. While wishing him to be her boyfriend.

She knew that it would never work out. She was just a poor girl, a nobody in society. And he was her knight in shining armor, one of the four most rich and handsome bachelors of Japan. If it had not been for this, another obstacle would make it impossible for them to be together: His best friend wanted to be her boyfriend.

Cursing herself she turned around, walking to their secret place, their sanctuary.

She knew she shouldn't be there. It would make it harder for her to forget him, to ignore her feelings for him. But she also knew that she couldn't live without him.

Slowly pushing the door open, she vowed herself one thing: If she wasn't able to tell him her feelings until the end of the week, she would abdicate her feeling for him and go on.

Entering the staircase she begged from the depths of her heart that he would be there, sitting, maybe waiting for her. But he wasn't.

Dropping her head, Tsukushi turned around and left, not hearing the squeaking of the door one floor ahead, the synchronous sound of two doors closing, the steps following.

"That's strange" said the obviously confused Hanazawa Rui to himself. "I would have sweared that Tsukushi is here." And he sat down on the cold stairs, his back slowly gliding down the hard stonewall.

Friday:

Taking a deep breath and mentally preparing herself for the worst entered Makino Tsukushi Eitoku Gakuen, heading straight to he- no their private place of refuge.

But for once she didn't feel the stares of her classmates who were fixing her like a lion it's prey. Her mind was just to occupied with the task she had to fulfill: To confess to Hanazawa Rui her love.

With no other thought inside her head she quickened her pace more and more until she was practically running. As she turned around the last corner she caught a glimpse of him who was slowly entering their staircase.

As she finally stood in front of the door she took a last deep breath and entered the staircase too.

She had just moved a foot inside as he turned around, piercing her with his gorgeous eyes. The same moment she seated herself beside him filled her head with doubts about her plan. What if he'd turn her down? What if he still harbored feeling for Shizuka-san? What if..?

Before she was able to end her train of thoughts she was interrupted by a sudden statement from Rui. "I knew that you'd come to this place today. It's like I've developed a radar for you. In order that I'll always find you if you get yourself in trouble. That's strange, isn't it?" And once again he looked into her eyes. But this time it wasn't his usual emotionless glance. His eyes held a unspoken question directed to Tsukushi.

Hanazawa Rui rose suddenly up, pulling Tsukushi to her feet, embracing her. Before Tsukushi was able to say something the guy turned her head, looking straight into her eyes. "Tsukushi-chan, there's something I've got to tell you.

If I'm with you, I feel complete. If you are near me, it's hard for me to maintain my emotions. If I see you with another guy, I can't stand the sight. I am in love with you Tsukushi."

Freed of the burden of confessing her love to him, she flung her arms freely around his neck and gave the guy a short peck on his lips.

"Rui, I love you too!"
