Derek didn't know what to do. Stiles was hurting and he didn't know how to make him feel better. Derek let out a whimper and stood up. It was late at night when he decided to check on the human.
He crawled up to Stiles' room. Stiles was at his desk pulling at his hair. Derek could smell the frustration and depression rolling off of him.
Derek jumped through the window, making Stiles jump and squeal.
"Shit! You scared me, Derek!"
Derek cocked his head when he saw Stiles' red eyes.
'He's been crying.' Derek whimpered to himself.
He frowned and glared at Stiles, letting out a growl.
Stiles' heart spiked up.
Derek pulled him to his feet and pushed him onto the bed.
Stiles shivered. Panic and fear washed over his body. He closed his eyes and bared his neck.
He jumped when a cold nose nuzzled into his neck, nipping at it a few times. Derek was calming down. His body visibly relaxed. He even started stroking the teen's hair.
Stiles opened his eyes and started rubbing Derek's back.
"Why are you here, Derek?" He whispered.
Derek sighed but didn't move.
"You're depressed. My wolf and I can't stand it. We had to comfort you." He mumbled into Stiles' neck.
Stiles gulped and nodded. Derek sat up still stroking the human's hair, trailing down to his neck.
"How'd you know baring your neck would calm me down?" He asked.
Stiles sighed.
"It works on wolves. I was just hoping it'd work on me too. I am pack, right?"
Derek nodded and kissed Stiles' forehead.
"Of course you are. Now get some rest." He nuzzles Stiles neck one more time before jumping out of the window.
Stiles flopped back on the bed.
"That was weird."
