This poem is a preview to a new fic I'll be writing, and I'm pretty syched up for it. I'm not quite sure when the actual posting will start because my life at home is a mess, but I shall try my hardest to get it written without too much wait. Enjoy the poem ^_^

Disclaimer: Kingdom Hearts, Cinderella, and Beauty and the Beast are NOT mine. This lovely poem is a true original of mine, but everything else belongs to the respective owner. Sadness.

Prologue: The Poem

The Beast waits in the castle,
Staring at the rose.
Cinderella sits by the stovetop,
Cleaning up the crumbs and dust.
The Beast needs one to love,
Before the last petal falls.
Cinderella needs one to whisk her away,
Before she's trapped forever as a maid.

One day the Beast holds a ball,
To see if the one will come.
Cinderella dons the glass slippers,
In hopes that her prince will come.
Glass and fur,
Meet on the floor,
And everything else just dims.
In their world it's only two,
Each hoping it's not a sin.

The Beast feels awkward,
And very out of place.
Cinderella feels insecure,
For being out of her space.
They dance and smile.
Slowly pulling together.
And as they finally come face to face,
The clock strikes the midnight hour.
Cinderella runs,
Before the magic fades off,
And the Beast follows in pursuit.
Only chasing the princess,
That could one day break the curse.

A glass slipper comes off,
But she just runs and runs.
The Beast holds it delictely,
Knowing it's the only chnce.
Going door to door,
Looking for her.
And missing her every time.
The petals keep falling,
And the Beast is striken with fear.
Not wanting to be a beast forever,
Only wanting what was held so dear.

Finally coming unto the last house,
The Beast knocks on the door.
And there stands Cinderella,
Fearing what was in store.
The Beast pleaded for her to return,
But she refused,
Saying it wasn't her place.
So the Beast left with teary eyes,
Already missing her beautiful face.

On the very next day,
Cinderella is visited by a friend.
Tells her about the horrid curse,
And what will spell out in the end.
In fear she runs,
To see the Beast.
To confirm if this was true.
Upon entering the castle hall,
She heard a sound atop the roof.
Rushing up the stairs,
She bursts through the door.

On the balcony with eyes of fear,
The Beast stands there to behold.
Rose petals all over the floor,
And only one left on the stem.
The sky darkens,
And Cinderella hugs the Beast in fright.
Never wanting to lose again,
They kiss before it becomes night.

The last rose petal falls,
And the clock strikes mignight hour.
But now they're both lying there,
Wrapped in ech other's arms.
Cinderella in a proper dress,
And the Beast a creature no more.
They embrace and cry,
Their hearts so sore.
Yet it all was happy in the end.

Okay, what do you readers think? The poem itself is the basis for the play that the characters are going to be performing. It's going to be an original and I honestly have only a slight clue what I'm doing. So, this is a much needed shout-out to all you readers who love drama/theater and wish to take pity on me. Your input/suggestions/knowledge would be greatly appreciated and I'd have a lovely little thank-you message for all of you in each chapter. S'all for now folks.

Love, Peace, and Stick Ninjas
