Authors Note: My first Peter Pan poem I published and there are many more to come.

Drowning In You

I was by the water fascinated by you

Your eyes had on that icy stare entrancing me of dangers

My heart raced of excitement but with no clue of the unknown new

We were both all but strangers

The full moon hovered over us reminding us of the black night

And yet before I knew I had found myself face to face

I was too lost in your romantic figure that I lost sight

You stole my hand luring me in, away from my secure place

The touch of your hands froze my heart still

Drawing my arms into the midnight waters you longed for me in its depth

I thought I struggled to resist but could not forced out of my will

Oh the realization struck to me for my last breath of air I wept

My now lifeless body plunged down as I fell under

I was drowning in your deceiving abyss

Farther down I drowned as my head throbbed of knowledge that I was denied aide

I snapped up to find the full moon again that I already missed

The last sight my blue eyes envisioned was the enchanting mermaids

They were mockingly swirling all around me with you shimmering in the mist

Approaching to me you came turning my nightmare to be nothing but true

For I was drowning in you
