As a crisp cool morning settled over Jump city, a raven haired boy exited the main hospital located in Jump; head down, hood up and rushing away from the nearby building. His walk un-concentrated and almost disfigured as though he was lost in a trail of thought. Blinking rapidly his pace quickened while heads turned towards him. In the bright light of Jump, his darkness spilled out onto the streets as his depression drowned him deeper into his soul. Questions spun round his head as he didn't know where to go. Who should he see? Panic settled into his soul like a rough blanket; wrapping itself around him to the point that he could have made a suicidal attempt. The figure rushed forward, away from civilisation as he did something he hadn't done in a long while.

Richard Grayson was crying.

His sapphire orbs blended with blood shot eyes and his pace was a sheet of white paper. While walking past a building be spared a glance at him self. He looked like death. How ironic. As quickly as he started he dried his eyes as he walked towards the tower at an unsettled pace. He had to tell them. They deserved to know now. He had first kept it to himself thinking just maybe God would be on his side and get rid of it. But then it got worse and worse and worse. So he had decided that it was now or never.

Now or never...

"Guys I would like to call a team meeting." He spoke weakly into the speaker and made his way to the main room in the tower. Slowly he made eye contact with each of his team mates. Raven would probably take it strongly and hopefully not cry, Cyborg would too hopefully take it although it will be hard, Beast Boy the same however he was unpredictable and Starfire. Oh shit. Starfire isn't going to take this easily at all. But I'll be there for her as long as I can. I just wish-

"Robin? Are you okay?" I suddenly realised I was crying as I was greeted by a hug from Raven. I slowly pushed her away hoping give the message that I needed to tell them something. She got it and sat down like the rest leaving an eery atmosphere in the room. A ghostly one, the kind that lingers round a dead body waiting for its soul to drain away. As words started to form I tripped over ways I could say it. Should I explain the long term? Or start of how much I love them? No tell them straight. And that's what I did.

"Guys... I have terminal cancer..."
