Disclaimer: i own nothing and i mean nothing especially not gilmore girls cuz believe me if i did i so wouldn't be making this pathetic attempt at a story.

"Mom, I've been doing some research and I've found a great boarding school in New York I want to attend." 16 year old Rory Gilmore said to her mother Lorelei Gilmore.

"Why would you want to go to a boarding school in New York?"

"You know there are no good ones around here and it's not good enough for Harvard just going to SHH."

Lately Lorelei and Rory had been discussing colleges more and this had become a big issue. Lorelei didn't really want her to go somewhere like New York on her own but she had to consider that Rory was a responsible child, it wasn't to far away, and she was right about there not being very good schools in CT. So after thinking about it more she began to come to terms with the idea. She still wasn't 100 sure about it but she had expected the issue to come up eventually and was prepared to give her answer...but not without a fight first.

"Rory you have to think about how dangerous New York is. You can't just waltz in there go to school and waltz out unscathed."

"But mom you know I'm responsible and can make good decisions, I don't plan on coming back covered in tattoos and piercing and smoking weed."

"I know that but do you no the pressures. We live in a bubble here in Stars Hollow kid and when you get out there you'll be in for a rude awakening."

"And I am totally prepared for that. You can trust me and this will be a great decision."

Defeated she finally caved, "Alright but I want calls every morning and night, whenever someone talks to you, and if any hot guy walks by you better take notes and describe him to me later got it?"

Rory ran over to her mom gave her a death hug and said thank you about a gazillion times then ran out of the room.

"I so need some coffee right now." said Lorelei sighing all the while knowing she was gonna regret this decision in some way, shape, or form in the long run.
