This scene is tied to my Thundermans story. This is the scene where Billy comes out to Max, which I'm not sure if I'll be putting in the actually story
Max was down in his lair on his computer when he heard the door to his room open and Billy slid down. "What is it Billy?" He felt kind of annoyed. Billy only talked to Max for one of two reasons; Nora set him up to something, or he wanted something that he needed Max for.
"Um, I have a problem." Billy said nervously.
"And, that would be?" Max asked, slightly intrigued. Billy was mostly in a good mood, so this seemed strange.
"I-I have a-a crush? I think," He said, his voice shaking.
"Really?" Max was caught off guard. Billy's never expressed interest in people. Max thought he didn't have those feelings at all. "So, what's she like?" Max asked, wanting to see where this was going.
"Huh?"
"The chick you have a crush on; tell me about her, I'm listening." Max walked over to his bed and sat next to Billy.
"W-well, that's the thing Max. I wanted to tell you, because I don't think I can trust anyone else with this. I have a crush on a guy." Billy said, looking down.
"You're gay?" That caught him off guard. Billy nodded his head without looking up. "Billy…" He started to say. Billy said something under his breath. "What?"
"Is there something wrong with me?" Billy looked up into Max's eyes and his was crying uncontrollably.
"Oh Billy," Max stood up and helped Billy up to his feet and pulled him into a tight hug. Max hadn't noticed until now, but Billy was getting tall. The top of Billy's head came up to Max's chin. "Billy, there's nothing wrong with you. Everyone's different; this is just one of these things that makes people their own person. You shouldn't feel bad about liking a guy."
"R-really?" Billy asked, starting to calm down a little.
"Really, really." Max said stepping back looking his brother in the eyes. Billy whipped the tears from his eyes and leaned back into the hug. The two sat back down on Max's bed, allowing Billy to catch his breath. "So, what's he like? The guy you like, I mean."
"Well, he's a little taller than me, and he's got flat, brown hair and the greenest eyes ever. He's really cool and calm and he's also a total genius."
"A genius huh?"
"Yeah, he gets perfect grades on everything." Billy had grown a smile on his face without any noticing it, but Max certainly did.
"You should ask him out." Max stated bluntly.
"What?! I can't possibly do that!" Billy said in a whiny voice.
"Why not, you seem like you really like him."
"Well I do, b-but what if he's straight? Then I'll out myself for nothing."
"How does he act around the girls at school?"
"Well, a small group is usually following him around because of his looks, but he doesn't really pay much attention to them. But he talks to me all the time when we run into each other." Billy was starting to blush a little.
"Dude, he's so into you." Max said with an almost chuckle.
"How can you tell?" Billy asked with a questioning look.
"Why would he brush off a group a girls tailing him around the school, but constantly make time you if he wasn't at least a little interested?" Billy sat there thinking for a few seconds before his eyes started to get wide. Did he seriously need me to point this out for him? It seems pretty obvious the way he tells it.
"Ok, I'll do it. I'm going to ask him out." Billy said confidently. "Thanks for this Max."
"Anytime, we're brothers aren't we?" It was in that moment, Max realized he and Billy bonded more in the past few minutes then they had in the fourteen years Billy's been alive.
"Can I ask you another favor?" Billy asked, bringing Max's attention back to the room.
"Sure Buddy, what is it?" Why am I talking like this? Why do I care so much all of a sudden?
"Please don't tell anyone else. I don't think I'm ready for everyone else to know yet."
"Uh, yeah of course. My lips are sealed." Billy gave his brother one last hug before walking up stairs. "Wait! You didn't tell me the guy's name." Max called after Billy.
"Oh right, it's James." Billy said with a smile before he left Max's room.
