It had been a month since Korra opened the portals to the Spirit world, and people all around the world were still getting adjusted to their new spiritual friends. Recently he'd had his hands full assisting Izumi as she tried to help their citizens adjust to the changes in the world, so it was no surprise when his daughter insisted that he take a few days for himself. So that is exactly what he did, he left the fire nation and hopped on the next boat to the Southern Water Tribe.

Zuko stared up at the bright beam of light that served as the entrance to the spirit world, he took a deep breath exhaling a small amount of fire from his mouth. "Now or never I suppose." He commented before stepping into the spirit world.

He was not prepared for what he would see when he entered on the other side. The spirit world was breathtaking, despite his years of traveling the world this was a sight that could not compare. Surrounded by forests on every side, he saw small colorful spirits flying around, his instinct was to ask one of them for help or directions, but sadly he probably wouldn't get an answer. Not many spirits spoke their language. So instead he just started walking knowing where he wanted to be, but having no real idea of how to get there.

Zuko wandered around the forest for a few hours before he finally decided that he needed to take a break. He found a low cut stump and slowly eased himself down onto it with a hearty sigh. "These old bones aren't what they used to be." He mused to himself as he ran his hands over his legs. "I wonder if a shirshu can be used on spirits. Probably should have figured that out before coming." He sat for a while before finally deciding to get up and continue his journey.

He pushed himself off of the stump and turned to continue on the way he'd been traveling, he only got so far before he heard something walking up behind him.

"Interesting seeing you here." Came a familiar voice, and the former fire lord turned around to see his Uncle standing before him.

"Uncle." Zuko uttered walking over to the man that had been like a father to him,

"It is so good to see you." Iroh grinned pulling his nephew into a tight hug, after a moment he pulled back holding him at arms length to get a good look at him, "But my look at how old you've gotten." He said behind a hearty laugh.

Zuko chuckled feeling his eyes well up with tears before they poured freely down his face. "You're one to talk Uncle." He said reaching up to wipe the tears from his cheek. "I'm sorry it took me so long to come find you."

"It's okay, I knew you would come." Iroh reassured him, just as he had found him long ago when he lost his way, he knew he would come searching for him once he had the time.

"I will always come for you Uncle, always."
